Our cat gets a build up in one of her ears that makes her shake her head and scratching herself on her ear. We will occasionally use a damp cotton ball to clean it but felt like she needed medicated ear drops to help with the itching going on. We wanted to try this before putting her through a visit with the vet. This one has hydro-cortisone to help with inflammation it says. We first cleaned her ears with a soft tissue and then gently put a few drops in her ear while we were rubbing it. I think that because we were rubbing her ear while putting the drops in she didn't notice them. We are only on our second day of using this and have not noticed her scratch at her ear at all today which is unusual. I think it is important to clean the ear gently before each use because it does seem to flush out some waxy stuff gradually. We are so impressed with the results with our cat after only 2 days that we also began using it today for our dogs ears since he has sensitive ears. He didn't like the first time we used it because I think his ears were just so sensitive but the second time he didn't pull away and seemed to enjoy the attention. I think this will be a good product to have on hand if you have pets. Most importantly it works and will save us some time and stress of having to go to the vet for an earache.

Dog was shaking head, holding his ear at an odd angle and scratching at ear a lot. We cleaned his ear very carefully with Q tips then applied this to a cotton ball, wiped the ear, and with a second clean cotton ball we squeezed in the liquid. (We've found that applying to cotton ball and squeezing in the liquid doesn't upset the dog the way that squirting directly in the ear canal from the bottle does.) Directions say to shake the bottle and clean the ear before applying. Also says to apply the medicine for 7-10 days. The ear wax we cleaned out had a musty, dirty socks smell, so pretty sure he has a fungal infection. Our dog has allergies and it is common for him to get fungal infections. This should clear that up. We will continue with the medicine 7-10 days as directed. However, we are seeing improvement after this first application. He is not scratching nor shaking his head and he's holding the ear normally. Based on these initial excellent results I am very optimistic that this product will work well. However, as any infection takes time to clear up we will continue the 7-10 day course. If improvement does not continue, or he gets worse, we will immediately take him to the vet and recommend that anyone else do the same in this situation. We felt comfortable using this to treat his ear because we are familiar and comfortable with the active ingredients, confident in their safety and that it would not cause any harm to try. Recommend.

My cat had a very bad ear infection and I didn’t spot it until she scratched her ear canal bloody. I was prepared to take her to the vet but before I did I wanted to provide some relief from the terrible itching and instilled these drops according to the directions stated clearly on the label. (vendor please increase the font size and replace the shiny print with something more readable for all ages, thank you.) The bottle is generously sized at 2 0z or 60 ml. The drops have no odor and once kitty accepted that these drops were GONNA HAPPEN she doesn’t seem overly uncomfortable when receiving them. They are easy to use, Fold ear flap back gently and instill the drops into the canal and then gently rub the base of the ear where it meets the jawline. By the 3rd dosing there was marked improvement with the raw tissue looking healthy once again and she isn’t digging at that ear or head shaking. The drops are easy to instill and I’ve done them twice a day for 4 days and will stop tomorrow. This product is an excellent value for the money and performs the function that it promises providing gentle relief for my pet. Highly recommend!

It is important to make sure if your pet is having any health issues that you have them seen by a vet as soon as possible. I am very familiar with my dog’s chronic, perpetual ear infections so I felt confident in testing these ear drops. Microsilver and hydrocortisone seem like very soothing and cleansing ingredients. I personally cannot verify whether these ear drops cure any preexisting infection or prevent infection because I am not a cytologist, and have no access to the kind of medical equipment that would enable me to make any firm statement on such things, but being sure to follow the clear directions for use of these eardrops, I did see visual and behavioral cues that lead me to believe these ear drops made my dog feel more comfortable. I was impressed by the results I saw, and will be adding these drops to my dog's ear cleaning routine going forward and will inform my vet to add these drops to the list of topically applied OTC treatments she receives.

This didn't work for us. After 5 days of consistent use my dog's ear was worse. I will say the bottle made it easy to use. It didn't have any bad smells or other things to complain about. It just wasn't effective for us unfortunately.

This product does work to some extent but symptoms remain after completing the recommended treatment protocol. All dogs (or cats) are different. My dog, a small but chonky Puggle started having ear problems a couple of years ago. We have standing order for at home treatment from our vet and I must say this medication worked just as good but inevitably we will have to make a vet visit for drops he uses that only have to be instilled into the ear canal once and it then continues to work over a 7 day period. As far as this medicine I believe it would probably be very effective in an animal that doesn't have the ongoing ear problems my puppy has. The medicine is clear, there is no smell, and it did alleviate her symptoms but did not eradicate the problem. It was worth a try for me because my puppy despises going to the vet.
