After doing tons of research on above ground pool heaters I decided to go with this one and save $700. Best decision I made. We love our pool but could never get it above 75 degrees so we could only stay in for a few minutes. The kids would stay in longer but their lips where blue when they got out. This was super simple to install, you just need to buy the 40mm to 1-1/2" adapters and the 1-1/2" adapters that thread on to that and have 1-1/2 to 1-1/4 hose ends on the other side if your using the existing hoses that came with your pool. Read the review from the other gentleman on here, he explains what you need better then me, it made instalation take less then 20 minutes The instructions are confusing but all you need to do is hold the power button for 3 seconds until the lock symbol goes off, then hold the power button 3 more seconds then it's turned on. After this just wait, after about a minute the heater will start running. The first time you turn it on you'll need to set the temperature, I did the max of 104 degrees one time and it stays there everytime you turn it on. With the control panel you can make all kinds of other adjustments but there no need to. Don't expect hot water to come right out. These units are designed to slowly heat the pool, it might take a couple of days but after that it gets it up to temperature quickly if you keep a solar cover on it. The other awesome thing is the fan on the side is like an air conditioner. When the kids swim I put my chair next to it and it blows out nice cool air. Our pool got so warm yesterday I had to turn it off. I run it for about 5 hours a day and it's staying around 88 degrees. The other important thing with this heater is it recommeds 700 GPH which is slow, but i'm still using the 1000 GPH pump that came with my pool so it works great. I will eventually upgrade to a sand filter and bigger pump, ill have to get creative to slow the water down then because most of those are 2500 GPH, but thats a problem for down the road, or maybe it will work just fine. So happy I bought this unit.

The connectors came used and dirty. The cord said 11.5 feet it's now even 6 feet there was a loose screw thet won't tighten up been running 6 hours it has gone up one degree. Update been running for 19 hours now and no change in temperature

This was an easy install, removed box, removed small wood pallet, placed it next to pool, i have a solar plant so i decided to replace my big filter with a smaller one, see pictures,! I did a little bit of plumbing work , no bypass for the time being, i figured my smaller filter would send around the recommended water flow needed to run correctly, but this was easy install and just plugged it in with a thick diy extension cord to fit my needs about 16 ft of wire, turned it on for a minute and hot running water, dont expect it hot hot, more like a pleasant warm with 90f as setting, i am feeding 84 into it so 90 may be too hot, ive seen others just increasing one degree! We will see ad i plan to update my experience. So far so good! I installed today, tested it for a minute, tomorrow with full sun and solar power i plan to run it all day.

The hook up easy programming not so much. Tried to get technical support but no response from the book that came with it. I got ahold of Amazon they tried to help me but when all said and done I ended up returning it. Amazon people were awesome. UPS came and got it. Love my Amazon

So far so good. It puts out warm water and didn't take long to get it going. This does not come with any sort of hoses or fittings to plumb it in to your existing set up. If you have hoses and fittings on hand, this install would take 5 minutes. Very quiet. Instructions for settings are awful. If they would have video instructions, that would be fantastic.

Heating our 6,000 gal above ground pool. Didn't have the correct attachments to begin with. Works well if you have a bubble/solar cover during the night over the pool to keep the heat.

This heater is great for the price. I tried out a much cheaper one before & it leaked and didn't warm my pool at all. I can literally feel the warm water going into my pool. Just a reminder if you have trouble getting it running that the heater only kicks on if the pump is on at the same time or it will just show a code.

Living in the Pacific Northwest, our pool remains quite cool even during the summer. We thus were so excited to try this pool heater out. Yet upon arrival today we were very disappointed. Our heater's wooden support pallet was broken and the top corner of our unit was crushed causing two sides of the heater to crumple. We were never able to to even try our new pool heater out.
