It definitely does the job — just be aware that it heats slowly, especially compared to a traditional gas heater. When the weather is warm, I usually see the temperature go up a few degrees per hour. It’s not instant, but if you plan ahead, it’s fantastic. With a little patience, I can easily get the water to hot tub temperatures during the summer. For everyday swimming, I’m able to keep it in the high 80s for my kids, which is perfect. Customer support was also excellent. I had an issue early on, and they responded quickly and helped me resolve it without any hassle. That kind of service really made me feel good about the purchase. I bought this pool water heater and it has been running for three days with absolutely no increase in water temperature. The set up and temperature settings are very simple so it is not an issue with not selecting the settings correctly for desired results. You should be able to place your hand over the outlet hose leading back into the pool and feel warm water flowing out of the heater. Nope as the temperature of the water coming from the heater feels the same as the pool water. So far this unit is absolutely worthless.

I bought the water last June, It worked fine, turned it on 3 days ago and I can’t seem to get it to work. I can’t seem to find anything one to help me troubleshoot it.

Working excellent for smaller pool of 2000 gal or less. I returned and bought the 20000 BTU for my above ground pool of 3300 gal

After many trials, this thing still didn’t heat the water above the ambient temperature. It’s a simple unit so it should just work, but unfortunately it doesn’t. Support was not helpful. Will be returning.
