I am fairly young and fell out of bed. This is sturdy and not too bulky. Perfect to grab on since we have adjustable bed. I had fallen in floor at 5am. Miracle I didn't break an arm. This will help after surgeries or if your bed is very high like ours.

Be sure to measure how low you need the horizontal bar. This rail does not go low enough for the bed in my father's assisted living facility. We will have to saw off a couple of inches from the legs.

It really does work as intended, a real help for my father-in-law as he had a stroke and it's rough getting him out of bed without some help. He is 6'4" tall and about 260 lbs. so I need all the help he can give himself.
