I have ordered several thin pillows on my search for a perfect pillow for me. I'm going to rank the ones I bought according to firmness levels so others will have an easier time deciding which is right for them. I have neck issues and sleep on my back and prefer a thinner pillow. Those 5 inch thick pillows don't work for me. I wanted a slim memory foam pillow that was supportive but still soft. I have ordered 4 pillows and an insert from Amazon and wanted to share my opinions and offer my view of firmness of each pillow. The worst part of ordering pillows from Amazon is you have no idea how soft or firm any are in relation to the others. I have purchased the Iwacool 3.6 inch, D Light 3.25 inch, the Bluewave 3.25 inch, and the blissbury 2.6 inch. I also bought a 1 inch LOFE insert. Of the 4 brands, the Iwacool is the firmest. It offers great support but you do not sink into the pillow hardly at all. It is very firm and would be the best pillow for side sleepers. It is comfortable and works good but is a little too firm for me. The blissbury was by far the softest and most giving and didn't offer much support. My head bottomed out on the pillow when I laid on it. In Blissbury's defense, I purchased the 2.6 inch instead of the 3.6 and it was too thin for me. I purchased the 1 inch LOFE insert and it feels better now that it is a little thicker (LOFE insert was soft and supportive and helped keep it from bottoming out). The other two brands are right in the middle of these two. The D light offers more support and is a little firmer than the Bluewave. The Bluewave feels the most comfortable of all the pillows I bought. It feels wonderful on your head, with enough give to make you comfortable without sinking in and bottoming out. The D light was a little bit more supportive but not as soft as the Bluewave. I liked the feel of the Bluewave because it springs back quicker than most memory foam pillows and gives the perfect mix of softness and support. My neck on the other hand, liked the D light the most because of the extra support in the neck area. I will continue to try all of them to see which one works best in the end. Each pillow has a different level of firmness, and I thought it would be helpful to explain the different levels for each brand. The Iwacool is firmest. The D light is next being firm but still soft, for a perfect mix. Then the Bluewave which felt like laying on a cloud, wonderfully soft but not as supportive as the others. The blissbury was the thinnest and weakest and bottomed out pretty easy but would probably be better if the thicker one was ordered.

Omgggg this is the BEST pillow ever if you like a low profile pillow. How did I live without it ? My 5 year old loves it so much I’m buying him his own as well. It is worth every dollar. Your head rests so perfectly - doesn’t sink too far in and isn’t too bouncy.

I've been using the DLIGHT BD Ultra Slim 2.7-inch pillow for a little while, and it's been a good fit for my sleeping style. As someone who sleeps on my stomach, I like how thin and flat it is compared to most pillows, which tend to push my neck into an uncomfortable position. The memory foam feels supportive without being too firm, and the gel infusion helps keep it from getting too warm during the night. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it may feel too thin for people who prefer more cushioning or sleep mostly on their side. Overall, if you're a stomach or back sleeper looking for a low-profile pillow, this is worth considering.

i am not overly experienced in pillow selection, although i would say i am a bit particular about what i want in a pillow. first of all, this 3.2" size is perfect for me. i typically sleep on my side, sort of, occasionally my back, and this is the perfect height for me. i am 5'10" 200 and i find this pillow to be a bit on the firm side, which is basically good i guess. i bought it bc my old pillow seemed to have become too soft over time. reviews saying this pillow is too soft seem strange to me. it is definitely not "too soft". when i first laid down and put my head on it, i thought it was going to be too firm. but then i almost took a nap on it right then. i have slept much better since i started using this pillow. so i'm happy with it.

I love this pillow. It help and solve my neck problem. I have been dealing neck problem for so long, ni matter I change my posistion on sleeping, and I kept on changing pillow, buying different ones thinking it will help, but never. Until I decided to try finding a pillow here in Amazon, and I am so glad an happy I bought this pillow. The sizes how flat it is, is so perfect, the filling and my feeling is beyod happy. It feels cool, soft and very comfortable. I definitely buy again. This pillow is my baby now. Highly Recomended A+++++

It’s great that you can find lower profile memory foam pillows now, and this one seems well made. It has an odor that will likely dissipate, but it’s not as bad as it could be. The issue for me is that the foam is very soft and not at all supportive, but if that’s what you’re looking for, it will be perfect for you.

Yes, this is a long review, and I hope you find it helpful. If you’ve ever felt trapped in the endless cycle of pillow shopping, this review is for you. I’ve been on the hunt for 4–5 years, longer than my bed search, and I’ve probably bought and returned close to 30 pillows. Memory foam, down, gel, “cooling”—every promise, every gimmick. Most were either too tall, too flat, too bouncy, or collapsed after a few nights. What I wanted was simple: a pillow that lets my head sink in without pushing it up, with slow rebound foam that doesn’t go lumpy or need flipping. My old beloved pillow was a Sleep Innovations memory foam Classic from an older production run (possibly called “Classic” or “Comfort Classic”). Whatever they did back then, the foam was perfect—slow sink, no collapse, no neck tension. Sadly, newer versions feel different, bouncier, and just don’t match that legacy. The D’Light 2.7" finally hits the sweet spot. The lower loft makes a surprising difference compared to the 3.2" version—no more buoying my head too high. It’s squishy, supportive, and I slept through the night without neck tension. Yes, it’s wider than I’d prefer, but that’s a small trade-off for comfort I’ve been chasing for years. And here’s the real test: I bought this pillow on September 18, and nearly two months later I’m still very happy with it. In fact, I haven’t touched my old pillow since. If you’ve cycled through pillow after pillow, hoping for “The One,” this might be it. For me, it’s the closest I’ve come to replacing my old Sleep Innovations Classic—and that’s saying something. Here’s hoping I don’t have to add pillow #197 to the return pile.
