ALL of the Blink stuff I have ordered is getting this same review. After doing an insane amount of research for a home security camera system I settled on Blink for ease of set up and cost. In both of those areas there really isn't a close second. As far as reliability, I'll check in again in a year or two--but other reviews indicate reliability is good. So, good news: easy set-up, great prices, video quality is as good as any, motion sensors and other software adjustable stuff is easy to understand and do. Bad news: The system is crazy slow. I knew that going in, so it might be a bigger deal to you. I'm willing to live with it mostly--down the road I plan to put in a much faster, wired, real time system with only one or two cameras, and Blink has a new "Sync Module" that is supposed to have greater range--and maybe speed things up a bit. The slow is annoying...but not a deal breaker. It has notified me of low batteries a few times--so now I just let it go and they seem to recover on their own. I've also had one or two go offline and I had to reinstall them. I think there are two factors causing this, and again for the price I am willing to live with it. For one thing I have the wireless range maxed out even with an extender for my WiFi network. The other factor is it is currently the dead of Winter and cold beyond all reason. 9 degrees last night, high is 31 today. Lots of snow and wind, too. I'm harder to get along with in this weather myself, so I'll put up with some additional problems with electronics that live outside. Bottom line? After three months I'm happy with it and I recommend any and all of the parts of the system I've bought. It works as advertised and it's way cheap--including the annual subscription if you want cloud storage. I will be buying a couple more pieces soon. It is fully functional as long as you don't need a lot of speed. I'm talking about minutes when I’m antsy and want seconds.

This Blink Mini Pan-Tilt camera is a fantastic addition to my home security setup! The ability to pan left and right and tilt up and down from the app gives me full 360° coverage of my room — I can check every corner without having to install multiple cameras. It's a great little camera, but do not be confused, it DOES NOT TILT AUTOMATICALLY. I thought if something would move throughout a room, the camera would tilt to follow it, NOT THE CASE. Other than that, for the price, it's fine for what it is. You can still manually tilt when viewing the live feed from the app.

Update - an Amazon rep reached out via email and explained the setting I needed to change on my phone. Now I can see what my camera captures while out of the house. Stellar service deserves 5 stars. Years ago, I bought a cheaper camera from another manufacturer and it connected easily and I was able to watch what was happening in my home when I was away from home. This camera works great when I’m in the other room, but the moment I leave my house and I’m away from my Wi-Fi it stops working. Kind of defeats the point don’t you think? I do cat rescue, so I use mine to keep an eye on kittens, and cats recovering from injury while I’m at the office. This is very disappointing, this should plug-in, connect your Wi-Fi, and you should be able to see it from anywhere. But I can only capture the camera signal when I’m in my home. Once I step out the door. I get error messages saying the network connection appears to be off-line.

I did a lot of research before I bought a home camera and I’m glad that I bought two of these. I especially love the pan tilt as you can turn obviously left right up and down. Connectivity: very easy all you do, is scan the code on the back, and it’ll walk you through it with the blink app and as you scan more cameras, you add them to your profile Motion detection: my cats set it off so I’m sure anything bigger than that can be captured on the camera Color: I bought standard black maybe they’ll come up with other colors in the future. However, I would suspect those would cost more. Sound: you really can hear everything and it is very loud I like that. It has a mute button as you view. Features: you can go in and change the sensitivity of the motion Camera: the camera is really sharp. I can see what I need to even in night vision although I said it on the window sill to watch outside to the parking lot at night and there was a reflection so I could not use it. I think they have a workaround for that. I forgot what it was. I think it said try the night vision I have yet to do that. Security: I like that they have a plan that you can upload your videos and hold them there or you can use their other product that allows you to connect to USB to see video files instead of using and paying for their app to do so after the introduction but for me right now, it’s just easier to use their service so if you switch how you’re saving your video files, you still have your camera and the Blink app Compatibility: I had no trouble finding my Wi-Fi signal and using the app on my iPhone when I’m at work I can arm or disarm the camera from the app and check in on my cats. Pan tilt base: I accidentally bought the pan tilt case. However, I’m told it any mini camera can adapt to it if you buy it separately to put onto it just in case any of you make the same mistake that I did. I had originally thought I was buying 3 Pan Tilts with cameras so I was stuck with the extra base

Arrived in a timely manner. Works great! The video is clear. I can keep an eye on my dogs. It was extremely simple to set up. I also have blink outside cameras. I’m so glad I do. They provide a sense of security. If you have the app pulled up on your phone, you can also click on the camera and it will allow you to speak into it. It’s just a nice feature to communicate even if you’re not there. I do recommend!
