I was on the search for an outdoor heater that was weatherproof for months and finally stumbled across one that was outdoor safe, waterproof, and emits a decent amount of heat. To make a long story short, I have an outdoor cat due to someone in the home acquiring a severe cat dander allergy; I didn't have the heart to get rid of my cat as I've had him for 11 years. I have been on the hunt to accommodate whatever needs he needs to make it through the harsh winter. I live in Indiana and the weather has been hitting below freezing lately, so I'm fortunate to have a heater like this to help keep him and his outdoor home warm. It is placed in front of a greenhouse and is able to trap up to 16 degrees within the greenhouse; my cat also enjoys sitting in front of it and most importantly this heater hasn't caused a fire! It's a great buy, and for the price, it's VERY reasonable!

Unit is nice my concerns is with remotes 1. It does not come with 2025 battery which should especially if ordering before ice story should be use ready after opening box 2. The remote battery opener very hard to access and easily break 3. Better if shipped with brackets attached for hanging Units great kept pets and strays warm and cozy during Texas ice and snow storm Over all very good useful unit BA

For the price, I think you'd be hard pressed to find something substantially better. Has tip over protection, 2 remotes, and timer. These things are all similar, but at least this one was good and works as expected. The stand is almost good, the vertical extension part was glued, which came undone, so it can slide out/up even when the screw is tightened. Some more glue fixed it, not too troublesome. It's obviously top heavy, so use the weight bags they give you to make it safe.

I really like the slim design and stable base of this infrared heating unit. It emits a quiet warm, cozy heat. The construction seems sturdy and durable. The operation is simple - a master On/Off rocker switch on the top of the unit and then an electronic control panel on the face. The unit has 3 heat levels - 500w. 1000w and 1500w. I really like the silent operation and ease of use... no propane tanks to deal with!! The unit also comes with two remote controls, making it convenient to adjust without having to get out of your seat. The only downsides I've found are twofold. 1) Fully extended the cord is 72" (6 feet). The instructions say not to use this unit with an extension cord of any kind, so this is certainly something to consider based on where you plan to use the unit. For my outdoor area, the outlet is farther than 72", so I will only be able to use it in the area near the outlet - not my further out seating area. 2) While there are operation instructions, there are no instructions on how to assemble it. Attaching the base was pretty simple but there’s a safety guard that I found very challenging to install. It’s a wire protrusion that should prevent anyone from getting close to the heating element. I watched the online video, but still couldn’t figure out how to attach it to the base unit and fasten the center screws. This aspect of the design could use improvement. In the end, I did not install it because I couldn't figure it out! Overall, this a great unit that provides fast, easy and quiet heat.

This heater puts out good heat and works fast. I am using it in my garage to heat an area that is used for exercising and weight training and it does a great job during these cold winter days. I have it mounted to a wall, which was a relatively easy process. The heater comes on and puts out instant heat in that area. The remote is a nice plus as you can control the heater if you are on the treadmill or other equipment and don't have to stop what you are doing. There is even a second remote included, which is nice as these things tend to be misplaced at times or when one remote's battery runs out you have a second. At this time, I am completely pleased with this infrared heater, it is perfect for my use and has eliminated the excuse of being too cold to get out there and exercising during the winter months!

We spend a TON of time outside in our backyard, in every season and having this heater really ups our outdoor game! It warms up very fast and has 3 different heat settings as well as a timer to turn it off. The whole unit is waterproof and I tested that theory by leaving it out in the rain for a couple of days. It's still working perfectly, so definitely as advertised. My gripe is that the instructions were not clear. I had to just figure out how to attach the heater to the stand (see pic for example). Also, the metal pole comes apart when I pick it up to transport it, so be sure to hold the bottom part of the pole too. It's almost like the black connector isn't connecting the two pcs properly but I bet a bit of glue will fix that right up. Overall, it's a great heater and worth the cost since it's waterproof. An excellent addition to your outdoor game!

This heater is good for light to medium use on our patio. Weather from high 30s to the 50s can be made fairly comfortable with this heater. As the amount of people goes up, the distance from the heater increases so it's all about proximity! This heater isn't pumping/blowing heat, so if you're close, you're warm. The setup was fine, but could have been easier. Not sure why they have individual screws that need to be screwed into each part of the pole. Makes storage awkward (or time consuming). The poles could have been telescoping with screws to hold in place or something more manageable. But the end result is a good heater so I'll deal with any setup/break down.
