    • Awesome product, but...
The Divoom TimeBox Evo is a curious and cool display device, and people who have come to my place have enjoyed it! As far as sound quality, it is actually really good and can get pretty loud for such a small device. But, it is being severely held back by the app which controls it. The app boasts lots of features, but when it comes down to it, being able to really customize what is displayed isn't really much of an option. I'm not going to detail everything here, as it would be a long review, but suffice to say if you're looking for something which can be "programmed" or fully customized, then this may not be the device for you. Also, the app often does not background sync with the TimeBox, requiring you to often open up the app to force a sync (this affects primarily weather, temperature, and downloaded graphics). Sometimes, when connecting bluetooth audio, the app shuts to TimeBox off instead. I really, really like the product - it is cool, sleek, and works great, but that app - someone needs to build a better one. ... show more

I should have done some research before buying, if I had, I would have bought a 64x64. The 16x16 is just….. meh. Almost all the designs look great online, on the app, etc but when you actually run them at 16x16 pixels they look like a blobby clumpy mess. Some are so bad you can’t even tell what they are. Also, the temp feature either does not work right or it doesn’t update fast enough. ... show more

    • A cooler speaker does not exist
The media could not be loaded. I have several speakers in my room and this one is my favorite by far. It’s crazy that this tiny little box can act as an alarm, speaker, and place to display cool pixel designs. The sound quality is not bad but base is not something you are going to hear with this product. I think that’s it’s really easy to use once you learn the app. It can be a little overwhelming at first but it only took me like a day to get used to. I think that this product is a little spendy but I will probably have these things for a while so it’s okay. ... show more

    • USE THE CHARGER IT CAME WITH
This speaker is fantastic! I was worried at first because I saw a few YouTube videos saying the sound isn’t great. I went with my gut and ordered anyway and I’m so glad I did! The sound is amazing! And I love the companion app that comes with it. You do have to use the charger it came with. If the charger is too powerful it won’t charge for some reason and the charge light will flash red. I had to do some googling because I charged it all night with my iPad charger and it was dead when I went to use it. It was totally user error. I really like this speaker. I’ll have to get a few more just for Christmas presents 🥰 ... show more

    • Cool pixel display device if you're fine with 16x16 designs
Got the Timebox Evo and Pixoo 16x16 frames. Was impressed when I first turned it on. The default animations looked awesome. It wasn't until I looked up animated designs on Divoom's app that I ended up being disappointed. Pretty much all of the animated designs I liked were 32x32 and looked terrible once translated to the 16x16 frames. Both boxes are going back and I'm going to get the Pixoo Max 32x32 frames direct form Divoom since they're actually cheaper there and I got a 40% off coupon on the wheel they let you spin on your first visit there. If you're fine with the 16x16 designs available then these are great. If you like the 32x32 designs better, yuu're going to be disappointed with these. But still...a great pixel display device. ... show more
