I didn’t read it clearly enough and was bummed to learn it has to be plugged in to work. It is very cool though. I work with autistic kids and they absolutely love this. I don’t know if it’s a defect but the stars will turn off after like 15 mins and even after I turn it off then on again, they still don’t go on. They flicker as if the bulb is dying. Puts out awesome light, easy to use, multiple functions on the remote, lights up 1/4 of the ceiling in my bedroom, they only complaint I have as I don't like the fact that it only runs for about 8 hours and turns off on its own I would prefer it to stay on until I turn it off
