  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Light weight and compact ladder. Wobbles though
As a homeowner having a ladder in the house is essential. We don’t have garage to store a full size ladder so this collapsible ladder was perfect for our needs. I can collapse this into a very small and compact size at about 3 feet or so. Additionally it is made of aluminum and is very light weight. This allows me to move this to the basement for storage easily without much effort. The ladder also has optional wheels to drag it around easily. You can always turn it around on the other side to use the set of rubber feet to ensure it is secured to the ground before you climb up. Extending is pretty easy as all you have to do is pull up and each rung will latch by themselves with a click. To collapse you have to push in the plastic latches on each run. These latches seem secure but the plastic doesn’t seem very heavy duty but more of the flimsy and cheap side. Unfortunately only time will tell how strong these are or if they will snap with age. When fully extended can go 12 feet. There is some flex and wobble however since each rung moves a few millimeters and since there are so many rungs the whole thing bends and flexes more than I would like. Being on top of a 12 ft ladder and experiencing some wobble is an it scary. Additionally, you can’t use this ladder like a bridge to cross any gaps like a one-piece ladder can. This is the primary weakness of this ladder and ladders like it. One-piece ladders experience no movement and feel very stable and firm. However one-piece ladders are massive at 12 feet and can’t be stored easily. While I do appreciate this ladder, I don’t think it should be used at its maximum height because of the wobble. I think about half way or so is best, use with caution at higher heights. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Clever design, no instructions
This very cleverly designed telescopic ladder is easy to carry (though not really lightweight), easy to raise and lower, and also easy to store, far more compact than any ladder of comparable size and length. It arrives largely complete, but some assembly is still required for the base of the ladder, and there aren't any instructions for that. You'll have to start by cutting away a bit of plastic in the bottom slot (photo), then inserting the provided channel into that slot -- not an easy matter, and you'll need a rubber mallet. Aligning the bolt holes in the channel and the ladder took some time, too, as did working the rubber feet included onto that channel -- I had to stretch them a bit with tools to get them started, then tap them in with a mallet. No instructions are included, so I had to rely on the two photos on the manufacturer's page in which the bottom channel is actually attached to the ladder. The orange rubber foot and the black rubber foot don't line up well: the black rubber foot sits a quarter-inch lower than the orange one (photo). I would definitely want someone to steady this ladder while I'm on it. Once assembled it's easily transportable with one hand, considerably easier than carrying my 12-foot extension ladder through the house, it can be rolled on the optional wheels provided, and it's easier to set up to a more precise length, too. Each section locks in place when pulled up, and the ladder measures exactly 12'6" when fully extended (photo). There are two sturdy rubber-covered steel hooks that snap into the top of the ladder: two plastic plugs remove by pulling straight up to reveal the hook attachment hole (photo). When setting it up partially opened, it's best to open it from the bottom, leaving the closed sections at the top: setting up from the top leaves one giant step to take before you reach a rung. The ladder is an aluminum alloy and seems sturdy enough, and I see that the ladder carries the European EN 131 certification, so tested up to 330 lbs and suitable for homeowners but not designed for professionals. It's a bit springy when set against the wall, but not much more than a similar traditional aluminum extension ladder. Full marks for the design of this compact ladder, one off for not providing any sort of instructions on assembling the base to the ladder. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Solid medium height ladder
I have a few of these currently, as they balance good height with lighter weight and portability, when compared to things like the Little Giant. This appears to be well-made and solid, although when fully extended they do wobble a bit while climbing.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy ladder
This is a very compact and sturdy ladder. Much easier to store and transport than an extension ladder and ideal for use indoors and out. It is simple to extend and close. It ‘s not that heavy, but is does come with wheels to help you drag it around. It comes mostly assembled with the exception of the bottom bar for the wheels and feet. The only key reason for the 4 star rating is it doesn’t come with instructions for assembling that bottom bar. You have to look at the pictures on the listing to see what has to be done. In general, it’s easy to assemble, but it does take a little muscle to get the orange and black feet on and you have to break a couple plastic tabs in the slots where the bar slides in. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars It’s well made and so convenient.
I like the convenience of this ladder. First, the telescoping feature is easy to use and works great, which leads to the storability and portability of this 12-foot ladder. It compresses to a manageable size, and with the built-in handle, it’s effortless to carry and takes so little space to store. For that matter, it’s just as easy to transport; it’ll fit in the backseat or trunk of most cars. The ladder feels stable, even when on a top rung. Overall, it’s perfect for home use or a portable ladder in a vehicle. ... show more
