This clock was an impulse buy for me. I wasn't even looking for a new clock, even though I had previously thought of looking for another one to use at my desk in my home office. I was browsing around Amazon and somehow started looking at alarm clocks. I saw this one that had orange digits which caught my attention because orange is my favorite color. I also saw that it was available in a white version which fits my style. I also saw that it was a large clock that could be put on a table, or hung up on a wall. I also liked that it will actually show you what day it is. So I decided to buy it and see if it would work for me in my home office. I figured at worse if I didn't like it, I could give it away as a gift, or put in my living room or spare room. This clock is not difficult to set. It actually comes with a remote control to assist with setting the time and date on it. This is a feature I haven't seen with other clocks, and I very much appreciated that the remote control was included. That means if I decide to hang it up on the wall, I can set the time and other functions from across the room. I found that this unit fits in perfectly with the way I have my monitors set up for my laptop on my desk. I have monitors on the right and left sides of my laptop, and I also have a monitor set up above my laptop. I am able to place the clock right in the middle of all of these monitors and now I have no issues with reading the time, day, or date. I write timestamps in a lot of my website work, and before, when at my desk I would pick up my phone, or look at the time and date in the task bar on my laptop to get a timestamp written. These were obviously functional ways of putting my timestamps together, however now with this clock, I have a big and bold display of the time and date so I don't have to struggle reading the small text on my phone and laptop. Also because this clock is so big, it adds another dimension to being productive. I now, literally, have the time ticking away in my face to show me that I'm wasting productivity if I'm not staying busy. This clock has a count down and count up function (like a timer and stopwatch). As of this review, I haven't used these features yet, but I'm sure I will at some point for productivity purposes. This will save me from having to go to my kitchen timer next time if I don't want to. So I personally, for my use case, consider this purchase a WIN for an impulse buy. I love the large display. I love that the company who makes this clock made one in orange digits (that's so cool). I love that it shows what day it is, and not just the month and day. I also love that it shows me what the temperature is in the room, although I find that the temperature reading on this clock is slightly off. I have a home weather station and this clock usually reads 2 or 3 degrees different from what my weather station reads. This could be a variance in the thermostat technology used in this clock and what ACU-RITE (the maker of my home weather station) uses, and I'm going to guess that the ACU-RITE weather station will probably display a more accurate reading since that product is made for that type of thing. Also to note however, I am using this clock near computer equipment which may be giving off heat that could cause the temperature to read different on this clock. Regardless of the different temperature reading, I value that the feature is included on this clock. PROS: - It's a great looking unit in a size that is definitely large if that is what you are looking for - It's lightweight and seems to be constructed well - Large display with 10 levels of brightness which makes it easy to adjust to your viewing comfort - Available in several colors (I chose the white clock with orange digits and I love it) - Shows day, month, date, temperature, and time all in big, clear, easy to read letters, and numbers - Includes a remote control (you will love that - bear in mind two buttons on the remote have no function for the clock) - Timer and stopwatch functions are included and are easily accessible with the remote control - Easy to set up (instructions are included - you're going to need a magnifying glass to read the instructions, so if you don't have one, add one to cart - I'm sure Amazon sells a magnifying glass if you need one) - Includes hardware (push-pin style hangers) with a template for marking on your wall where to hang if you are going to wall-mount this unit. - Includes a long usb cord which would be essential for wall-mounting (does not include a usb charger style plug - just use an old phone charger or purchase a cheap phone charger, or can be plugged into a powered usb hub for your computer if you have one that stays plugged up consistently) - Has a built in cord winder on the back of the clock to manage the cord length for use on a desk or table (I really loved that feature - I thought it was smart to have that design built in) - Has buttons on the back of the clock for setting the time and date, however I recommend to just use the remote control after reading the instructions. For example if it is Monday, there is no way to set the day to Monday simply by selecting through the days as you may think you could do when initially setting up the clock. Setting the day is done by setting the clock to the current year. It apparently has a built in calendar that is used only for telling the correct day of the week according to the month and day you set for the current year. Note that there are no other calendar functions that I'm aware of for this clock. By that I mean, you can't schedule an alarm at a future date. Also, while you have to make sure the clock is set to the correct year, the clock does not visually display the current year. All in all, I think this clock is a great unit for the features it includes, for the variety of color choices you can select when ordering, and for the large clear display. I think the instruction sheet could use some more work to add more details about the functions of this clock, but it is a simple clock unit that isn't hard to figure out with the instructions provided. The manufacturer did a great job on the packaging for this unit. Everything included is compactly, and neatly organized for unpacking. Now the big question: Do I recommend this product? Yes I do recommend this alarm clock to anyone who is looking for a large digit display, who can use a day of the week included in the display as a bonus, and who wants the ability to choose wall-mounting or put this clock on a desk, table, or night-stand, who could find a timer and stopwatch function useful, and especially for the person who (like me) loves electronics that come with remote control units. ... show more

    • Easy to Read, But Time Not Accurate

All the reviews about this clock being large and having an easy-to-ready display are spot on. The clock is easy to set, especially with the handy remote so that you don't have to take if off the wall to reset if the power goes out (has a built-in battery backup so the time stays in memory). However, the clock is not very accurate, so I give it a C Minus for that attribute. Mine runs about 18 seconds slow no matter what time I set it at. I've tried to synchronize it to my atomic wrist watch (which gets its time hack from a radio tower in Denver, CO every 24 hours (it's 100% accurate). But this wall clock is always a bit slow or fast. Also, you can't turn off the blinking colon between the hour and minute digits. That, to me, is rather annoying, especially since I bought this clock to replace my cable DVR box which had a time display. The clock is placed near our family room TV, so I wish there were some way to stop the blinking colon. The manufacturer should have done this. And finally, it does not come with a power adapter for plugging into the AC outlet. It has 10-ft USB cable, which is okay if you already have a power connector with USB port, but I think any electronic device that manufacturers sell should always come with the appropriate power adapter that the consumer will need. I could plug the clock into my Smart TV's USB port, but that works only when the TV is turned on. So, the clock must be plugged into a USB port that has constantly flowing electricity to it in order for the clock display to work. All-in-all I would recommend the clock because of its large easy-to-read display, but the manufacturer needs to get rid of the flashing colon, provide an AC power adapter, and improve its written instructions for how to operate the clock. ... show more

I didn’t find anything to dislike. It’s easy to configure. The remote works great. It’s really bright. I can see it all the way from my bedroom out the bay window to see what time and temperature it is. Edited 02/07/2024 After noticing the temperature differences from another outside temp thermometer, I decided to check the accuracy of this one. I used a certified calibrated IR thermometer and scanned a glass of ice water after sitting for 5 minutes. (Temp was 32.2 deg) I took the same IR thermometer and scanned the clock in question and it was an easy 7 deg difference (reporting warmer). Lastly, I compared my thermometer to the clock and there was a 6 deg difference supporting the conclusion the temperature device in this clock is NOT accurate whatsoever, so I will be returning this item to look for something else. ... show more

I purchased it from Amazon on July 18 and last week it quit working. It's been up on a wall since I received it and never had a problem with it. I was hoping it was the battery, but a new one didn't make a difference. I was contacted by the seller and given a replacement. It's rare that a seller does that. Kudos to them for reaching out. OMG...I absolutely love this clock. At 16 inches it is the perfect size for my bedroom. I love the styling and the modern look which goes perfect in my bedroom. I need a clock which can be seen from across the room, and this clock fits the bill admirably. It can be seen clearly is on the opposite wall 18 feet away. Showing the day is great because being retired I sometimes have trouble remembering what day it is. Not anymore! The temperature is another great feature! The brightness of the numbers/letters is adjustable from 1 to 10. I have the clock set at number 8 and it is super bright. I give this clock an A+++++++. I highly recommend this clock.
