This reader works great for salt water pool owners. My salt cell was failing and was displaying a very low salt even with it having just been added. This tool worked well and kept me from having to go to the pool store to verify the salt level while I waited to get a new salt water cell. After the new cell it matched up perfectly with the level I was getting from the new salt cell. Comes with batters and is ready to use out of the box Can also be used to measure the salt in a glass of water for the perfect salt water gargle.

This kit does not contain calibration packet for salinity. I'm done with this crap from CHINA and close to being done with Amazon.

Works great for my saltwater pool. Was able to identify how low my levels were and easily calculated hiw many bags to drop in by the quick retest the next day.
