Engine works exactly as you would expect runs fine starts first or 2nd pull no problems there. Installed the engine onto a mini bike which required turning down the crankshaft from .8 to .75 isn't hard to do. Engine produces plenty of torque makes all the right noises smokes the whole 9 yards. Biggest complaint is the pcv system or rather the lack of a pcv system the engine only has a open port on the top of the valve cover and at higher rpm especially driving around it tends to spill oil all over the cylinder head and the air intake which then leaks all over the engine cover. Only other complaint is the poor air intake design its very restrictive and has a poor quality filter a custom intake and better flowing filter made a very noticeable difference. Would definitely buy another in the future ... show more

I purchased this engine for a rototiller that needed a replacement for my old Yanmar diesel engine that is wearing out. I received the engine with a bad leaking fuel injector and cracked dipstick which the seller promptly replaced, but then when I finally got it primed and ready to start the compression felt entirely too low for a diesel. So basically I got a lemon that must have a stuck exhaust valve. I emailed the seller and they asked me to send a video of my problem to their email and I tried to but the file size is too large to send through an email. I can’t describe all of the issues in a 30 second video. I have exhausted my energy in this engine and will be purchasing another one from a different seller. Just as a reminder I’m a certified diesel tech that knows how to work on these engines but I shouldn’t have to with it being brand new. I’m very disappointed. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Engine showed up well packaged with no damage, engine parts are build very heavy duty with quality. I put shell 15w40 oil in it, put fuel in it, bled the injector; and it fired right up first pull!!! Ran Great, rolls coal, has the classic diesel knock…. the whole nine yards! I can’t wait to use this engine for a future project. ... show more

Update: I was sent a replacement engine for free which was undamaged, good communications from the seller Pull start mechanism broke on the 2nd try, near impossible to put back together, the spring loaded screw was not torqued. Other than that its a very nice motor for the price, I sent a message to the seller for a replacement pull start, we'll see how it goes. make sure you go over every bolt with a wrench. Woke up today to find it leaking oil from the crank case seal. I found a sizeable crack on the crank case. Pictures show it all. ... show more

Came with a manual written in English (spec's 10W-30). No physical damage in shipping. The coating on the fuel tank is a polymerized coating and not a powder coat or painted finish. Primed the fuel system (loosened injector line closest to injector, held decompression release while turning over until fuel began squirting from loose connection) and turned the engine over until I met compression stroke resistance, set fuel to 1/4 send, popped the decompression release, pulled the recoil rope and engine caught and fired. Engine will need to be secured to something to start up and stop (remember it's a 22:1 compression ratio not a 8:1 like a Predator 212). Mine shipped with the polymer intake. Would like to see a full english service manual with torque specs, gasket part numbers, and recommended valve lash. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this expecting to get the same motor i had gotten in the past but i got a completely different motor with WAY worse quality and it wont even run, the air filter is the wrong size to the point where the bottom doesn't reach to the bottom of the air box so there is zero point to even have it, it came with a busted pull start that i had to fix myself because the seller never sent the new one like they said and once i fixed it and tried to start it it make a horrible clanking sound as if it was missing a rod cap bolt and the fuel pump doesn't even pump, so i would never recommend this if my life depended on it ... show more
