The EX1900 is a great engine. Just add oil and you’re ready to rock and roll. Engine isn't really loud like my old engine. Only thing is the middle points to the side instead of the bottom. Great quality. Great price. Highly recommend!

The product was a perfect fit for my Ariens riding lawn mower and was delivered three days earlier than stated. You do have to thread the four mounding holes unless you have self threading bolts but that was stated clearly in the item description.

I just finished installing this engine in my 20 year old Craftsman YS4500. Very simple swap with no issues. I saw one review about the exhaust existing the side instead of down. In my case, the old muffler was in front between the frame rails. It has a diverter screwed on it that I removed and installed on my engine. Four holes line up perfectly and I drilled the fifth.     • Replaced Craftsman DLS 3500 B&S Intek 20
Used this engine to replace the B&S Intek 20 on a Craftsman garden tractor (ca. 2008). I noticed the mounting bolt holes were smooth and needed to be threaded so I used self-threading bolts. Everything on the engine connected to the tractor control cable and electrical harness with little problem. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo - we are back in business! BE SURE TO ADD OIL BEFORE STARTING and perform an engine jog (run with starter without spark). This engine is smooth-running and strong. Fair warning regarding our application: the engine comes complete with EVERYTHING (starter, muffler, carburetor, oil filter). The muffler included with this engine interferes with the garden tractor's hood frame (hood cannot close with it in place). The tractor is being run without the hood for now (grass is already too high) but will pursue removing this muffler and attaching the old one; it has an exhaust manifold pipe that is directed toward the lower part of the tractor frame. An alternative would be to cut the frame or stretch it around the attached muffler but the lower mounting of the original muffler is preferred. ... show more

Purchased this to replace a blown motor in a 2006 JD 115. Fit perfectly in place of the blown motor. It did take awhile to get the mounting bolts to bite into the aluminum and tighten up. The rest was very fast. Its not cheap, but way cheaper than buying a brand new low end JD mower that are going for around $2.5K. ... show more
