  • Strong and sturdy enough for a 9-year-old, plus fun and room to grow!
Color: White and White Style: Loft Bed Pattern Name: Loft Bed
Bought this bed for my daughter's 9-year birthday, and she loves it! It's not too high off the ground for fear of heights, (it comes up to my shoulders if I'm standing-I'm 5'1",) plus the rails are sturdy and strong (so is the construction of this bed.) She can sit under it, and we are planning on making it into a privacy place for her to play or hang out. I'm 5'1" and can sit under it as well if I slouch a bit, and the slide (yes, I was begged to try it out) supports a 110 lb. person going down it with no indication of stress on it. It arrived quickly and I am well-pleased with everything! The quality is amazing, and the slide can be removed as she grows. A trundle bed, mattress, futon, or flip-chairs can be placed under it with the extra space it provides, and it can be excellent storage or a play/hangout place. Just note that the slide does make it necessary for extra side space in the room it is in, but like I mentioned, it can be removed. (The bed itself is worth the price without the slide.) 100% satisfied and happy with this bed! ... show more

  • Love everything about it except the noisy slide!
Color: White and White Style: Loft Bed Pattern Name: Loft Bed
So far so good! When our little guy outgrew his crib we were looking for a fun "big boy bed" that was a little different but didn't cost a fortune. This is it! Assembly took a little time, maybe 2 hours total, but it was relatively easy. I'd recommend an electric drill/driver to help screw in all of the bolts, there are a lot! The bed feels very sturdy, we used a 5" memory foam mattress on top and that leaves plenty of safety room for the rails above the mattress so we're not worried about him falling out (he's a little over 2 years old). He LOVES the slide, and climbing up the ladder to go to bed at night. We didn't experience any magical "sleeps through the night way better now" moments with the bed, but it is really fun and looks great. The rails under the mattress are close enough together that the mattress is very comfortable to lay on, you don't feel the rails through the mattress. The entire bed is metal. I wish the slide were some sort of fancy plastic instead. Being metal it's loud. Our little one like to scramble up the slide, and it creaks and moans very loudly every time. That's really the only negative thing about it. The slide is thin metal, and it's braced by the metal side rails, and some metal cross bars underneath, so the metal on metal action definitely let's you know it's there. I guess one other complainy might be that there is not much room underneath. For example our 2 year old can't walk under the bed, it's too tall. So it's still fun as a fort to play under, but it would have been a little better if it were a hair taller so he could walk under it. But besides those minor points, we love it, it's been a fantastic, well built bed that we plan on using for years. ... show more

  • Super fun
Color: White and White Style: Loft Bed Pattern Name: Loft Bed
We bought this for our daughter's bday gift and she loves it. The assembly was very easy with clear instructions, the slide might be a bit tricky for some. It's sturdy and the slide might be a bit noisy as others pointed out but hey it's a slide. Height wise it's perfect for a kid who is around 3ft tall. The ladder is easy to climb, and the bed frame is stable all around. Be careful, don't buy a mattress over 6" thick as it will be to thick and your kid might roll off because the guard rails are about 12" in height. Overall I would recommend this bed, it has freed up floor space and the loft below is great; my wife and I like to hang out in it as much as our kid does. It feels sturdy and it's a great size for a growing kid. We expect to get at least 5yeara of use from it or more. ... show more

  • Daughter Loves It!
Color: White and White Style: Loft Bed Pattern Name: Loft Bed
My almost 4-year old daughter loves her new “big girl” bed with a slide. We put her ball pit at the end of the slide and a pink canopy on top, and now she wants to play in her room all day. The construction is very sturdy and the slide is fast. It’s just the right height for a younger child, and we added the bottom part of a trundle bed below to make it into a mini-bunk bed for sleepovers. We are very happy with this purchase, as there wasn’t much comparable for the price point. ... show more

  • Sharp design, great bed... but maybe too sharp! Ouch.
Color: Silver Red Style: Loft Bed Pattern Name: Loft Bed
This bed seems to be every bit as good as the other happy reviewers have mentioned. There are some gripes that I didn't seem to come across that I feel are important drawbacks to the design of this bed. Also, there are some suggestions on how to combat some of shortcomings in the research and development department; especially when young ones safety are considered. If you have a minute, please read over my many observations of this bed. Installation - Took just over an hour with a power-tool on a VERY low setting. The included hex wrench didn't work to tighten a single bolt, it came with rounded edges, and was essentially factory striped. So, you should expect to be searching your toolbox for 4 mm hex tool. Some of these bolts have many turns before becoming tight. Seriously consider purchasing 48 appropriately sized lock washers. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN ANY BOLT, as it causes major stress on the metal shape and their tiny tack-welds. (Common sense, I know, but take special care. This product seems more pliable than most) Instruction Manual - Take some time to really examine the instructions. They are drawn very well, and the dimensions are represented perfectly; if not a little tough to see detail in. The pages are large, but some of the detail is still a bit too close together to tell exactly what is going on at a glance. The Slide - The slide is large, and sturdy. The metal on the slide reverberates, well, like a big piece of metal. It can be loud if there is a heavy-footed stomping involved. Otherwise, it's a good indication when the children are being active, and not horrible to the ears. I am glad they decided to use rounded tubes for the rail for the slide, because in the short time that it has been installed my 6-yo niece smash her chin on the slide rail because she was climbing up the slide with socks on. She was completely fine, but it triggered my overprotective-father instinct to scan for other potential dangers. Which brings be to the reason that my review can not be five stars, and potentially the loss of another star if there are future injuries that become serious. NOTE - Honestly, there are some major dangers presented by this product that may or may not lead to some sort legal action in the future. (not by me) So please continue to read my observations, and make an informed decision on your purchase. Angular Framing - My biggest gripe about this bed is the sharp angles. My little guy just got this bed for his 4th birthday, and he loves it... LOVES IT! But the first morning, he woke up the house after rolling over and cracking his shin on the frame. A bruise formed later about 4 inches long and two toothpicks wide. Rounded tubing would still hurt, but the edge on the half inch square framework around the bed is a little on the sharp-side. Make some pool noodle purchases with some colored zip-ties and get creative, or functional, but consider covering a few of the locations. The Squeeze Point - The two areas that are of MAJOR concern are the angles the square framing presents at the top of the slide where the bed opens for the slide entrance. The sharpness of the corners here are not kid friendly. ANYTHING would be better than what is here. Slice a tennis ball/racket ball/pool noodle, tape some bubble wrap, or glue an egg carton... something, because after the first midnight headbutt to that corner is going to make for a long night. My son likes to drop at the edge of beds and the couch, and he nailed the left corner with the back of one leg. A little cut formed from that one, but when he grabbed his kneed and rolled backward pain, he crack his head on the angled headboard/footboard area. Ouch! Right? So the noodles went on. Zip-ties and black tape, and not another problem. Except that getting in and out underneath the bed conked a few noggins, but only resulted in some monkey-bumps. Slide Quieting - I used scrapbook foam with peal off adhesive backing and cut a bunch of pieces to stick on the support beams that are attached to the bottom of the slide. I placed some longer pieces (5 in by 1/2 in) under the rails when attaching them, and then tried to covered the surface of each support beam under the slide. That eliminated the "CLANG" of the metal from hard footfalls. The metal from the slide has a small arch to it, and the center of the slide is the highest point. Like the slide was a flag attached at the 4 corners with the wind blowing from underneath. To keep the rumble from reverberating, all you have to do is stack a couple layers of foam to meet up with the slide on the three center-most beams. Just enough to make contact at all times at a few points, and that should essentially hold the vibrations still. Too much, and you risk creating "speed bumps" on the slide too early in it's life. Conclusion - Any kid that had seen this bed, loves this bed. For good reason too, but if the overprotective parent in you is considering a more safe alternative, then your going to wind up paying double what this bed costs. This is well made bed, with all things considered, it just has some scary corners. The corners are as sharp as cabinet doors. What kid doesn't feel safe to flop on a bead? A set of cheap plastic rounded end-caps that fit over the high traffic corners would have been a nice addition from the manufacturer. But after some of my own improvements... this bed is amazing, and did I mention the children ALL LOVE IT! I'm a little jealous myself. ... show more

  • Awesome!!
Color: White and White Style: Loft Bed Pattern Name: Loft Bed
due to the price of this bed I wasn't expecting much from it. It's sturdy, cute & the slide is "fast", per my daughter. It's a great bed & we like it a lot!! Update! We've had this bed for nearly 8 months now. This bed is still in great condition considering my child plays on it often! I see that the price is cheaper than when I paid for it! Which makes me sad! But at the same time... this bed was totally worth the buy!!! If you don't want to spend a ton of money on bed but you need something durable and awesome... this is the bed for you!!! Update again.. there's a lot of questions about the slide and the durability of the bed. We've had this bed over a year now, and I assure you that this bed is wonderful. The slide/bed holds 180+ pounds. The slide isn't incredibly long but it's wonderful for children 4-8. My daughter is going on 8 and loves it still. Seriously, for the price... you can't beat it. Update again! We recently took the slide off to make more room. Keep in mind that the slide helps with the stability of the bed. However.. the bed is still plenty stable without it. She’s not had it on her bed for about 6 months how, with no issues. We’ve tried to get her a new bed... but she still LOVES this bed. You may worry about it looking “cheap” but we get comments on how awesome it looks all the time. ... show more

  • Great Bed, Great Price!
Color: Silver Style: Contemporary Pattern Name: Loft Bed
This is a great bed. I ordered a tent for the top, which I had to alter to fit it with a double opening, as well as the bottom fort to make it into a "house". It really is a cute bed. I took two king size pillows and rolled them up, kepis them rolled with duck tape, and put pillow case over them, using the extra material to tuck into the mattress and make bumpers for when our son sleeps on the top.I use them to cover both the openings :) Also, I bought a trundle bed for the bottom, so there is another bed in the fort area below. He can choose to sleep in either, and has an extra bed in case his Nana stays the night, which she does often. It is so super comfy and quiet under there. I slept in it one night, bought two of the 99.00 mattresses from Sams club, two mattress covers here, which I will do reviews for (they work great, btw). This makes his bed look super cute. My son is 4 and super busy. I was a bit concerned about a bunk or loft bed, but this is a super low loft, still concerning enough for me to make bumpers out of king pillows, but I am not super worried, just a bit overprotective over it. This is a very reasonable price for this bed. My husband and brother put it together, it has a lot of parts, but they put it together in an hour, not long. Anyway, worth it to me, and considering the cost of some of the other beds out there, this is really reasonable. If you are concerned about space saving, this is worth it. The slide comes out a bit more than I thought, but it really needs that. Putting the trundle under it gives us the option of using it for both our boys, when the other is old enough, although, we should not need space saving then, hopefully! : ) ... show more

  • Coolest Bed Ever!
Color: White and White Style: Loft Bed Pattern Name: Loft Bed
Got this because our kiddo was ready for a bigger bed, but we needed a lower bunk style with the dormers in our upstairs rooms. Not too crazy to assemble if you are mechanically inclined, but definitely easier with the proper drill vs any included wrench. We love the under bed height that allows for a toddler bed or platform twin as well. This is perfect for younger kiddos transitioning to a big bed when you want to create extra space for them to play too. The underneath is a perfect fort area. The slide is a total bonus! Just make sure that the layout works for your room because you can not change where you put the slide or ladder. Love the all white as well because it is so neutral. I looked at so many of these and this was the best value and set all together. It seems very sturdy for our super busy almost 4 year old, but we did use a drill to make sure it was as tight as possible. ... show more
