  • A for awesome, T for terrifying.
Size: 1.7 Quarts Color: Creamy Beige
All right so the keywords out of the way first, noise level is fine versatility is awesome It's a good value for the money there was no leakage the durability seems adequate and it's a great fit for the size. Now the important stuff, I love the fact the cord is removed so if the cable gets chewed on by a pet or something It can very easily be replaced I greatly enjoy the physical knob and the fact it clicks into place, I like how the light on the side actually is dimmer or brighter depending on if you have it on the first or second setting or warm. Now aside from that I have a story about this little doohickey. So I got this just recently, I was getting a bit hungry so I unboxed it and the first thing I decided to make with it was just basic tomato soup from a can, the thick kind you add water to in order to make it soup, I thought to myself hey it's just tomato soup and I kind of want it fast so I turned it to the two little flame setting because I thought it would heat up faster and, well... I was hungry, Well BOY HOWDY DOES IT! My tomato soup got hot in the I think 70 seconds I turned away to go to my mini fridge across the room suffice it to say I learned something new, theoretically I should have known this but it's never happened apparently you can burn tomato soup 😅. This thing gets hot enough to Burn tomato soup in genuinely just over a minute to the point where it boiled over a good chunk of it, I did have the lid on But I think even with the lid off it would have burnt, although probably wouldn't have boiled over like that. That's impressive as heck but I was fairly scared soup got into the electrical socket for a second which it almost could have DESPITE THE FACT the thing is on little stud stilts, there was just a little bit of soup right on the cable itself almost going in, but luckily I was alright, I put the whole thing under my sink very careful not to get any water in the socket or the dial, then, just to be sure, I carefully put a dry paper towel into the socket afterwards and really wiped it down as well as the sides. And now it's all cleaned up minus a little soup stuck in a very specific crevice on the top of the handle I can not seem to get out. So just for reference if you're going to cook meats or stews or something thick, that's DEFINITELY what the second setting is for, Do not however. AND I MEAN DON'T use the high mode for more viscous stuff like normal freaking soup. Because it WILL boil over and make a mess. TLDR: it's an awesome product so far although I just got it, 1. Massively versatile for cooking 2. love the version that came with the top cooker edition not that I've used it yet for anything but cauliflower well cooking soup on the bottom ( I did that the second time after the first soup incident, turn out really well actually) 3. it's definitely worth the cheap 30ish bucks I spent at the time of writing this. 4. it's actually pretty sleek and fashionable which is a nice bonus. ... show more

  • Works Well and Very Handy, Though a Few Design Tweaks Would Help
Size: 1.7 Quarts Color: Glossy Black
I’ve been using this mini cooker frequently and overall I’m very satisfied — the stainless steel interior heats evenly, it’s easy to clean, and the size is perfect for quick meals. One small improvement I wish for is a spout or a slight pouring lip on one side of the pot. With a shaped edge, soup or broth would pour out more neatly without dripping. I also noticed that boiling water takes a bit longer than a regular electric kettle, which is understandable but worth mentioning. Another thing I’m curious about is the heating element — it seems to cover only half of the bottom instead of a full circle. I’m not sure if this is due to the design structure, but having a fully covered heating plate might improve even heating and efficiency. Other than these small points, the cooker works very well and I truly enjoy using it. ... show more

  • Great for hot pot!
Size: 1.7 Quarts Color: Creamy Beige
Used it already today! We made hot pot with it for 2 people, then 3rd joined in too, was definitely enough. It could have a middle setting between the low and high heat, ultimately, but we woukd occasionally go up to honest and then go back to the lower setting, not an issue. We started with water that was just boiled so it was very quick to bring it to simmering. Our First hot pot, me and my kid came up with a great hot pot broth recipe that we instantly fell in love with. Not too heavy or big. I will easily be taking it with me on my long days out for a quick meal prep at my school (as a student) and use it when traveling too (conferences, road trips, etc). I will try to update on the durability of this lil pot. So far we are very happy with it and we would like to probably try more models at some point. Love it for the fact it is also stainless steel! We got organic ramen noodles too (low sodium) but not sure if I am allowed to say other company names on here. Anyways, everything we got for hot pot cooking was best of choices so far. If you never did your own hot pot but went to a restaurant only for it (like myself), this way of cooking is sooooooo good, way better for me! I can chose my meats, veggies, etc. I also eat organic so I am on the road of learning also how to cut thin slices so it may be an adventure as I will need a different knife I think. Haha.... Enjoy, and please, do experiment with food! Life is too short to have regrets on not trying things. ... show more

Size: 1.7 Quarts Color: Glossy Black
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and functionality of this item, which has been used multiple times. I purchased 2 for making shabu shabu since we prefer different sauces. It works very well and the size is perfect as a personal hot pot for shabu shabu. The stainless steel is nice and cleans up well. I recommend this item and would definitely purchase again for others. ... show more

  • Absolutely Rubbish
Size: 1.7 Quarts Color: Beige
This thing is so horribly designed I am astonished that anyone would have such a lack of integrity to bring it to market. First thing I noticed was, the heater coil does not distribute heat evenly. When I took it apart it became obvious why, as there was not actually a coil, just a semicircle of heating element that left one side of the pot cold while the other got hot enough to burn your food. Second thing is that the other side of the pot gets hot enough to burn your food... in just a few seconds, even if you have it on the "Keep Warm" setting. This happens because the only temperature control mechanism is a 2 thermal switches with different set points (one is intended for the keep warm setting and the other is for either of the 2 cooking settings). Their calibration does not seem to be very precise, and their hysteresis is enormous (meaning that the pot will get scorching hot and burn your food before the thermal switch turns off, then it will remain off for a long time before it gets cool enough to re-engage the switch. The third and final nail in the coffin - I almost found a work around that made this thing slightly useable; by turning it on for 4-5 seconds at a time and then turning it off manually and furiously mixing my food I could prevent it from burning on the hot spot. But then the switch arched internally and damaged the main line voltage contactor so that it wouldn't conduct anymore or turn on (this is what happens when you use a switch that is not designed to handle the current load for your application). I was able to swap the contact with one of the other contacts making it useable for a little longer (minus one of the modes), but this is just a dumpster fire of a product... I wouldn't even consider this a MK1 prototype of a bench top hobby project except they've spent a nice chunk of change to manufacture a clam shell to hide their hideous workmanship. Normally I would just throw away a piece of junk like this and wouldn't waste my time disassembling it or writing a review, but right now I am stuck in government quarantine in Korea being served cold food, and this hot pot is my only way to heat it up so I have rigged it to work good enough to take the edge off. But this product is not worth $26, it's not worth $0. This thing should not legally be allowed to be sold as a food appliance in its current state. This hunk of plastic and poorly assembled cheap (probably soldered with lead) components is a horrible reflection on the seller (Seavox Commerce), it's a horrible reflection on the manufacturer (Dezin), it's a horrible reflection on Chinese manufacturing, and it's a horrible reflection on Amazon. You all need to get your act together or we're headed for a seriously bleak future. ... show more

  • I mean, it works, but could be a lot better.
Size: 1.7 Quarts Color: Creamy Beige
I've got to use this a few times so far and overall, it's not terrible, but not great either. Food will get stuck to the bottom and burn if you don't constantly stir. Doesn't seem to matter if it's on setting one or two. It does boil water pretty quickly on two though. It's not easy to clean due to having to keep water out of the guts of it. Due to the food burning issue, I had to resort to using a scrub brush to clean the burnt food off the bottom. It does work though, I have cooked a few basic meals in it to test it. I have also tested to see how easy it is to eat out of since it has a handle and to see if dishes can be saved. It's not all that easy to eat out of. It's lightweight, that's not the issue. The issue is just bulk size and smell. Yes, I noticed today there is a faint burning plastic smell after using it. I'm going to keep using it to test it and may update the review. I want to see now if the smell will go away or get worse. The setting knob, it could be better, but it could be worse too. The first setting will still boil water, it just takes more time. The second setting will boil water faster. Not really tried the keep warm function, but I presume it just turns on and off based on some sensor. As of right now, I can't say if it's worth what I paid for it. I will have to keep using it and see what it does, how it functions, and how long it lasts.
