Came new in Dewalt box. Plenty of torque. Chuck works as it should. My last dewalt 20v max drill lasted a little over 19 years before the chuck gave out (home user). I am hoping this one last just as long. I have had good luck with all the dewalt tools lasting a long time.

This drill is amazing. It has a hammer option. I just used it. Drilled right through the concrete with ease, and it has two speeds slower speed for gentle drilling and if you flip the switch to number two it’s like a high speed drill. Can be used as a screw, gun hammer drill or impact drill. Great value does not come with batteries but I had a few and I bought a few aftermarket batteries that worked amazing and lasted twice as long as the original DeWalt batteries for half the price. ... show more

Lightweight, compact and enough power to take care of any of the odd jobs you might have around your house. Even though it’s a hammer drill don’t expect this to go through commercial use without lacking power. But definitely durable and strong enough for anything you need at home. Having had a lot of experience with real hammer drills, while doing termite work in my younger years, it left me expecting more. Yes it lightly hammers, but I do not recommend it for anything requiring more than just normal drill bits. If you need to cut larger holes thru concrete or brick, for example holes larger than 1”, get a real hammer drill. It works pretty well for drilling smaller holes for screws to anchor things into concrete. But for other stuff, get a larger, better hammer Drill. ... show more

    • Loved my old 18V... But this is 100% Better
I'm old and cheap. I have drills and SLOWLY upgrading from 18Volt to 20volt. The problem is, I don't use them as much! But Hey, it was bargain priced when I bought it, lightweight and even has the silly light on it to which, yes it can be useful. Only problem with it is, I can't find the dam thing when I need it and it's in the last place I look for it. Example, yesterday I needed it; it was in barn, Oh I'll just use the old 7.2Volt Screwdriver.. Nope, has no tip in it.... Arghhh, I't hot in Texas heat so Fark it, I did it by hand with a Home Depot Husky 5 in 1 ... show more

Had a masonry drilling project that my regular Dewalt drill couldn't handle.
