  • Good bass, good value
Fits nicely under 1991 Toyota pickup sr5 passenger bucket seat, definitely worth $90. Hits pretty hard considering the box volume, gets some surprisingly low notes, and gets adequately loud. I looked inside the unit, it has a full 10" diameter driver which looked ok for build quality; the woofer design is interesting- big, but not huge magnet, HUGE (5?,6"???) voice coil, and the cone/surround are crazy stiff - like I was pressing HARD to check out the excursion and the cone barely moved. This is probably why it handles loud, low hard bass hits without distortion that I have heard- just a tough speaker. The amp is the same generic class D plate amp that all the generic metal box low pro subs are using, and it seems OK. Has a couple nice features like variable low pass, variable bass boost, 0/180 phase shift, input gain, and a remote phone cord style bass knob W/power LED. I have run mine fairly hard to see where it clips and if it's gonna overheat or go into protect, and I haven't been able to get either. The install wiring is low low quality- I didn't use any of it, although it probably could work for a while (8ish gauge CCA power cable, sketchy plastic AGU fuse holder w/ 60 amp fuse which was broken on arrival, 10 or 12 ish gauge CCA ground lead, really wierd, thin 18? gauge CCA remote turn on wire, but nice enough bass knob with decent and long phone cord. Overall, if this thing makes it a year or two, and I think it will, it's totally worth it! ... show more

  • Bass at a great price!
I was replacing my factory head until with an android double din from Podofo and when the system was all hooked up... the bass was terrible! I was planning on returning it when my Podofo android unit started to glitch and malfunction. I was sent another Podofo android unit and I noticed a considerable bass increase from the old one so I decided to hang onto this bass woofer. Then the second Podofo unit started having problems this time the Bluetooth stopped working and the radio would just turn off. So I sent the Podofo back and purchased the Atoto S8 Pro... OMG what a difference!!! Woke the base up instantly! So much I had to turn it down to keep the rattles under control! For the money it's better than I bargain for! ... show more

  • I've had two, the first one lasted an hour and the second one lasted a week.
First: I decided to give these a shot they had decent reviews. The first one I hooked up and left the settings the way they were from factory and I was listening to what a decent volume it lasted all of an hour. The sound was pretty decent for what it was. When it blew out it took the large fuse under the hood and the fuse in the amp with it and if you tried to replace the large one it would be fine until you put the small one in and it would blow both. So I had them ship me a new one and I'm in the process of shipping this one back. Second: This one I turn the gain to a 25% for the first couple days. It was a little weak obviously but but it survived and sounded decent so I turned it up to 50%. There was no distortion no issues I was using the RCA jack inputs from a pioneer head unit. It sounded great for what it was. I have an hour drive to work each way on the turnpike so plenty of time to listen to it nice and loud. It sounded great for how long it lasted. I went to work the normal hour drive and then I had another hour and a half drive to a job site and when I got to the job site I turned the truck off and the amp never turned on again. It didn't even last long enough for me to get my money back from the first one. I can get another one from Amazon but at this point why should I? The first one I can understand but two in a row? If you buy it be prepared to replace it if you listen to it at a high level. It sounds great but there is no longevity built into it. My gain was never more than 50% and the bass boost in the radio and the amp were at 50%. It still didn't survive, even my wife said I should not give them a third try. If you still want to buy it I wish you the best of luck it seems like a lottery when it comes to the quality of the amp. The speaker itself is great never had a problem with it and if I didn't have the ability to return this I would just put a better amp on it or buy two of them and run a good amp to both. The sound versus the size is pretty good. ... show more

  • Great addition to a small cab truck
Good sound for the money. Fills in the low bass nicely, but don't expect this subwoofer to do more than that. It's pretty much invisible under my Jeep Wrangler TJ backseat. It's awesome that this sub comes with the wiring kit, worked perfect in my Jeep.

  • Easy install fits in single cab truck.
Installed this in my 83' s10 behind the seat, it fit perfectly and sounds great. I was very surprised with the quality since and how easy it was to install, everything it needed was right in the box.

  • All about some bass
Everything I needed to fill out the low end of my stereo system. It's not "competition" bass quality by any means. However if you want to add a little bass to your system, it's sound quality is definitely enough to annoy your neighbors. It's a bit temperamental about having the speaker grill covered by or in contact with items. It will share it's displeasure by making a buzzing vibration sound. Otherwise the best bang for your buck (value for money) I've found so far. ... show more
