  • Amazing
Size: 10PR4200141/kit
I purchased this Detroit Axle FWD Brake Kit for my 2016 Honda CR-V, and I’m very impressed with the overall quality. The kit arrived well packaged, and all the components were included as expected. The parts fit perfectly and made the installation process straightforward. After installation, the brakes feel smooth, responsive, and noticeably improved. The rotors and pads appear well made, and the stopping performance has been reliable for everyday driving. The hardware and finish give confidence that these parts are built to last. For the price, this kit offers excellent value compared to buying individual brake components separately. If you need a replacement brake kit for your Honda CR-V, this is a dependable option that combines good quality, easy installation, and strong performance. I would recommend it. ... show more

  • Great deal better stopping power
Size: 10PR1900034/kit
I got this for my 2000 f350. I tow a lot. Granted my trailer only weighs about 8000 lb but I tow it daily with my mobile mechanic business. I did run a break-in with these rotors. I don't think a lot of people understand that rotors do need to break in, all of the bad responses I see on here are likely due to people thinking all breaks are just plug and play. When you install these make sure the surfaces are clean. I usually run very fine sandpaper like 400 grit over the brake pads prior to installation. With the rotors I will make sure they are clean with brake cleaner. I also installed all new calipers at the same time and I drove the truck with no load for about 100 miles. I also drove the truck up to 70 mph and then made a few abrupt stops. Basically the metal has to heat up and cool down several times and these things will never give you an issue. These perform extremely well they are very durable and this is definitely good quality. They do make a little bit more noise than Factory but that is typical of drilled and slotted rotors. These definitely fit my truck so I would say the accuracy of the system is perfect. Installation with these is easy. Again I would highly recommend that you run a break-in. And I would highly recommend that you replace all the calipers at the same time. ... show more

  • Good purchase!
Size: 10PR42437/kit
I got quotes for $1,200 to get the full pads and rotors replaced on my Honda Accord Sport 2017. Someone suggested looking into this brand specifically. I’m very happy I did. Delivered 2 days early. Exactly as pictured and for sure is something way better priced. I don’t noticed the noise people complained of , seem to be good so far! If any issues I will update! ... show more

  • Exceptional value for street performance brakes, but don't expect them to be quiet like OE
Size: 10PR42437/kit
I got these brakes for my 2015 Accord Touring V6, the size that fits this car is 11.54 inch Front & 11.10 inch Rear. I installed these in December and now it's March. The first thing I noticed after installing them was the brakes being super grabby and sensitive. The old brake pads were worn down so much while the brake fluid level was still topped off, so when installing these, the extra amount of brake pad actually raised the brake fluid level in the reservoir to the point of overflowing, so I had to scoop a bit of brake fluid out with an oil bottle cap to get the fluid back to a normal level. For about the first 100 miles, the brakes had a kinda "thud" or "tap" sound when stopping at low speeds and was very sensitive. After being broken in, I noticed there's still some noise, but it's mainly squeaking or squealing. Sometimes it does makes noise at high speeds, but I found it can be mitigated with less foot pressure on the pedal. The most annoying noise is when you're driving at low speeds say in a parking lot or drive thru and riding the brakes. It's a dragging screeching noise that can sound pretty abnormal, almost like nails on a chalkboard. However I was told this is normal with drilled and slotted rotors using ceramic pads. But the performance of them is outstanding. I do a lot of "heavy duty" driving with my car, delivering doordash and occasionally taking it out on some curvy hilly backroads to rip on it. These brakes definitely hold up, they have good stopping power that is in some cases is almost "a little bit too much" stopping power (if your brake foot gets heavy) and being drilled and slotted increases the cooling on the brakes for my extreme driving conditions. If you're on a budget but looking to replace your original brakes on a performance oriented street car, this product will be an excellent choice for you. ... show more

  • Great brakes, minor installation issue
Size: 10PR1200487/kit
I’m really impressed with the Detroit Axle brake pads and rotors. They look great and feel amazing once installed—smooth braking and a solid overall feel. The only issue I ran into was with the front rotors on my 2017 Nissan Maxima. After installation, the rotors were rubbing against the factory brake dust covers. I had to remove the rotors, carefully bend the factory dust covers back, and reinstall everything so the rotors would sit and spin properly. Other than that, the brakes look and perform great, especially for the price. Just be aware you may need to adjust the factory dust covers during installation on a 2017 Maxima. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and would buy them again. ... show more

  • This is too easy!! Great product!! Minor issues.
Size: 10PR1900347/kit
I ordered these for my 2017 F150. The kit comes with slotted rotors - front & back and ceramic pads for both, new clips, and there is also a can of brake cleaner and brake fluid included. I didn't have any problem at all installing although I read several reviews that said they had problems with the clips fitting. Just be sure you pay careful attention to the way that the clips are installed. I suggest you take a picture of the old clips in place for reference before you take them off. It took me a minute but I finally got it right and every thing went in place like a glove!! Also - make sure you look at You Tube as a reference - this has always been helpful for me!! Cost me a little over 300 bucks for new brakes all the way around. I just don't think you can beat that price anywhere and the quality is fantastic!! Update 2/13/26 5 months in! Had an issue with this product. Driving home from work, I noticed a grinding noise - hmmmmmmmmmm. Turns out that one of the pads on the passenger out side was ground completely down. Weird - just 1 pad and the opposite pad was fine. After buying new pads and comparing the old ones to the new ones, I believe there is and inside pad and an outside one, at least that was what was indicated on the new ones. This to me was what likely created the issue. The old pads(Detroit Axle) had no such designation. It has to do with the placement of the rivets. Make sure when you install the new pads, that you make note of the current configuration and apply the new ones exactly like the old ones. Also - I found out that slotted rotors can not be turned, so if you are like me and you want to get the most you can for your dollar, buy the ones without slots! One other issue - these brakes squeak. They just started and I'm about 5 months in. I noticed that my pops truck does the same thing - he has the same rotors as I do. Still think these are a good product and I would buy them again. For the most part, this package has been beneficial for me and I don't think you will find a better deal anywhere else! My new pads were 85 bucks locally - not cheap!! Good luck! ... show more

  • Great breaking!
Size: 10PR1200882/kit
Great value! Very good smooth breaking from all sorts of speeds on a 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLK 350. This brake kit works very well with this automobile. The rotor hub set screw pilot hole is drilled inverted. Meaning, machined on the wrong side of the stud hole on the front rotors. Rears are correct. No problem at all though, just left out the set screws. Their just there to keep it all lined up during assembly, however, the lugs line it all up anyway. Nice! I would highly recommend these bakes. Also so far....... ZERO brake dust! One of the photos shows my original rotor with the set screw pilot hole on the other side for reference. ... show more

  • One of the best kits for the money!
This is the 4th or 5th set of Detroit Axle brakes I've bought. They're an upgraded direct replacement that puts the factory parts to shame. They offer superb stopping power, excellent rust/corrosion resistance and they bolt right on. Very impressive for the price! I'll admit, the 2005 Outback probably doesn't need drilled slotted rotors, but for the price you just cant beat it. ... show more
