Let me begin with a bit of backstory regarding my reasons for needing to purchase a fancy deadbolt lock such as this. I have a 13 year old son who is, for all intents and purposes, the real-life version of Dennis the Menace....on steroids. He is on the very high-functioning end of the autism spectrum, and also struggles with severe ADHD. Lastly, he is a kleptomaniac, though only within the confines of our home (so far...knock on wood). Left unsupervised for more than a minute or two, that sneaky little miscreant will make his way through the rooms of every pne pf his family members, loading his pockets full of whatever treasures he can find. This includes my husband's man-cave, which is strictly off-limits to ALL kids. This man-cave is located in a specially-built room within our garage. Also located in the garage- our storage, our tools, our junk-food pantry, and the shelf where I keep all of our soda. After a mind-numblingly endless number of heists were discovered (either by a member of the family noticing one of their belongings being missing, or me coming across one of my sons "hoard piles" while cleaning his room), I had enough! I bought a system of wireless cameras and rigged them up all over the inside of our house. I know what youre thinking- problem solved, end of story, right? NOT. I am here writing a review on a deadbolt lock, after all. While the cameras did allow me to SEE him stealing items, it did not deter the behavior. So decided to take the next step and attempt to keep him OUT of spaces he's not allowed to be in. I bought a set of 5 keyed door locks, only giving the keys to trusted family members. This seemed to work for about a week. Until he figured out where to find the keys. So what is the next step up from a keyed door handle? A deadbolt! I wanted one with an alternative security measure for entry, and this lock puppes up, with a programmable keypad. I ordered it without hesitation, and it arrived the very next morning! Because the door between my house and garage was not previously fitted with an deadbolt, I did have to drill a hole into the door, but this was an easy process that took approximately 10 minutes. I installed the lock onto the door, taking an additional 5 minutes or so. It looked great, and I couldn't wait to power it up and test it out! Therein lies my one and only complaint- it didnt come with batteries. And since I did not have any batteries on hand, i had to wait a day before setting it up so that I could go to the store after work the next day. Knowing my son would be back home (with my elder daughter providing some semblance of supervision) for several hours before I got off work, I decided to use the physical key to lock the deadbolt so that he couldn't get into the soda while I was gone. When I got home, you can imagine my shock and rage after seeing the garage door wide open and over half a case of soda missing!!!! But the lock wasn't powered on without batteries, and I had all of the keys on my person all day. How did this happen?!?! Get ready for it... That sneaky little turd saw the USB C port on the lock, went and got a USB C cable, using it to connect the lock to his laptop in order to power it up. He looked up the setup instructions for the lock, and proceeded to change the key code, making himself "admin" on the lock. Luckily, the process ro reset it and start over wasn too complicated, and I had it up and running in no time. Its been working great ever since. Cons- doesnt come with batteries. Pros- easy to install, easy-to-understand instruction manual, tje ability to create 6 or even 8-digit passcodes, which are far more secure than 4-digit ones, quality feel, high quality materials used in the manufacturing process, very sleek-looking once in place, smooth-gliding lock, seemingly great customer service team. My last tip- order 4 AA batteries at the time of your purchase so that you can set the admin code up on your new lock, straight away, whether you install the lock on your door right then and there or not. Highly recommend, considering buying more of these locks and putting them on all of our bedroom doors as well. Editing to add- this company was SO great that they contacted me after writing this review and offered to send me their newest biometric deadbolt lock for FREE in exchange for testing and reviewing it. Admittedly, my life got a bit chaotic after agreeing to this, so I just recently got around to installing the lock. I need to contact their customer support team to inquire about how to go about turning in my review. So team, if you see this, would you mind reaching out to me again? Thank you!!!!

I needed a new lock to replace my old original door lock and started my research on amazon. I wanted a decent keypad entry lock that was the best bang for the buck. After a couple of days of searching I came across the desloc c 100 and decided to get 2, one for the front entry door and the other for the garage door. Once they arrived i was impressed with the quality considering the price i paid So here are my thoughts and experience with the locks * Setting up the lock was easier than i thought, only a couple of steps and with my power screwdriver a breeze for my arthritic hands * led interface. info about what you are doing on the lock and also can assign name to code so later if you wanted to delete a specific code you can without much guess work * you can assign 100 codes, too many for my needs but still better to have it and not need versus needing and not having it, great for when selling your house or when you have guests, you can assign their own unique code and delete later * battery compartment easy to access, my old lock you had to remove 2 screws then remove batteries from a hard to reach receptacle * build quality was excellent and best of all the price , at the time of purchase i could not find another lock with the features at the price i paid * Back up keys , you get 2 keys to use on lock if batteries go dead , my old lock you had to find the battery pack and then plug it in , so inconvenient and who can find accessories when we really need it *What could be improved, well the type on the led screen is a bit small but to increase it may increase size and price of lock. Is it a deal breaker, Absolutely not as i am older and eyesight not so great so this is specific to my condition In conclusion i can recommend the desloc C100 door lock if you are looking for a budget lock that does not break the bank and really has good value for the money Anthony

This lock is amazing. It was soo easy to install and the instructions for programing were cake. I had it set up in less than 15 minutes. I love how you can set a timer on it to auto lock cause my kids forget to lock the door sometimes. Great lock I highly recommend this.

If I could only give it negative stars!!! Easy installation. Looks great. Programming was easy enough. Functions are absolutely horrible. I knew it was a bargain basement purchase, and I shouldn't have expected it to be wonderful. I know; I know. But I didn't figure it wouldn't let me lock the freakin' door on my own. As I understood it, I could turn off the stupid auto-lock crap, and still have a functioning deadbolt for my entry door; but I was wrong. The old keyless entry deadbolt this is meant to replace had 1 simple button I had to press, to lock my door when I leave in the morning. 1 button: done. This is junk; I doubt I keep it. You should be able to lock the door without HAVING to use that ridiculous auto-lock crap. DO NOT BUY if you want to have even a modicum of control of the locks on your house.
