I purchased this smart lock because I already have three smart locks in my house on my front door, garage, and basement, but I had never replaced the lock on my back door. When I went to purchase another one to match the locks I already had, the model I wanted was no longer available, so I decided to try a different brand. I’m extremely pleased that I did. The installation was very easy, and everything I needed to install the lock was included in the box. Once installed, it feels very solid and well made. The overall quality is just as good as the other smart locks I already have, and I have no complaints about the construction. Programming and setting it up was also very straightforward. I really like having the ability to control the lock through the app on my phone. There are several ways to unlock it, including entering a passcode, using my fingerprint, or using my phone, which makes it incredibly convenient. This is especially useful for me because I don’t always remember to take my keys with me. I’ve actually locked my keys inside the house before, and having a smart lock on the back door gives me another way to get back inside without having to find someone with a spare key. Being able to use my fingerprint, phone, or a code makes this an extremely valuable addition to my home. Overall, I am extremely happy with this smart lock. It was easy to install, easy to program, feels very high quality, and gives me multiple convenient ways to access my home. I wasn’t able to get the exact model I originally wanted, but after using this one, I’m glad I went with it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Smart Lock for Home Security I installed this DESLOC smart lock a few weeks ago and have been very happy with it. The keypad is responsive, the fingerprint reader works quickly, and the lock feels sturdy and well-built. Setup was straightforward, and I was able to create access codes for family members without any issues. I especially like the sleek design and the convenience of not having to carry keys all the time. The touchscreen is easy to use, even at night, and the battery life has been good so far. I used this to replace a Google Nest unit, and this unit works a treat. The fingerprint works really well. I love the NFC card scanner, and the code works really well. The key is smooth. Installation was a breeze, and all of the hardware is built very well, with the alignments of the screws and everything else being flawless. It took me 5 minutes to install. I wish the app was a little bit better, but one thing that I do like about it is that, once you configure everything, it is not required to be connected to the internet. That's one of the things I was really concerned about. It requires a smartphone for initial setup, which is done all through Bluetooth, not via Wi-Fi. After that, you can delete the app if you want. Now, if you do that, you won't be able to change your fingerprints and whatnot, so I don't recommend it. The point is that it's not an IoT piece of hardware; you actually own it. The door handle looks really good. Very well made, very sturdy, and very heavy-duty. All the components were of good quality steel, and I was surprised at the quality of it for the price, because I would have expected it to be closer to a $200 to $250 item. I think I paid like $90 for it, so the value is there. It has a better value than my Google Nest products, I will say that.

This door lock came with a handle included, which is a great bonus, and overall the quality is very good for the price. Installation was straightforward and easy to do on my own. One thing I really like is the variety of ways you can unlock the door. You can use physical keys, a custom code, the included key tags (just tap them on the lock), or even your fingerprint. Having multiple options makes it very convenient for different situations. The lock also has an auto-lock feature if you want to use it. It works on a timer that you can adjust in the app. Just keep in mind that if the door is left open, you’ll need to unlock it again before closing it. You also have the option to turn off auto-lock completely. To set everything up, you’ll need to download the app. The app itself is pretty simple to use and lets you control the lock remotely, which is a nice feature. Overall, I highly recommend this lock—it offers a lot of features and flexibility for the price. As for downsides, the fingerprint scanner can be a bit finicky at times. I’ve found that using your thumb works the most reliably. Also, if the fingerprint scanner fails too many times, the lock will go into a security lockdown mode, sound a siren, and won’t work again until you unlock it through the app. This could be an issue if you have kids who like to play with it. Aside from those minor issues, it’s a great lock and definitely worth considering.

I really wanted to love this lock because the features are great on paper. The app lets you create passcodes, timed codes, fingerprints, and manage users, which is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the actual performance has been incredibly disappointing. I purchased this in September 2025, and instead of the advertised battery life of up to 12 months, I’m replacing the batteries about every two weeks. I’ve only used brand-new alkaline batteries, and the lock still frequently acts like it doesn’t have enough power to fully unlock the deadbolt. The fingerprint reader is also very unreliable anytime there’s moisture. If my finger is wet, the lock is wet, or it’s been raining, fingerprint access often doesn’t work at all, despite the lock being advertised for outdoor use. On top of that, I occasionally have to enter my passcode twice before it unlocks. At this point, I honestly think I may have received a defective unit because I can’t imagine this level of battery drain and inconsistency is normal. The app is nice, but a smart lock has to be reliable first, and this one hasn’t been.
