I have been using Desert West's older car vent phone holder version for a few years. It has performed and held up well. This new magnetic mount is elegantly and simply designed, and very easy to use. It takes up less space, looks nice, and is more secure. It allows access to the air vent and my CD player. A nice feature is the layer of silicone on the part of the clip that comes in contact with the vent, which should protect against scratches and scuffing. The magnet is very strong and holds the phone securely. I have found no issue with detaching the phone from the mount. The clip that attaches to the vent and magnet is sturdy. Another useful feature is the 360 degree ball rotation. I attached the thin magnetic ring to my iPhone 11 Pro case. A corresponding transparent plastic ring goes between the case and the magnetic ring, which protects the case and makes the ring easier to remove, if needed. However, these rings are not necessary the for iPhone 12 series and up. This magnetic mount style is definitely an upgrade in function, style, and everyday convenience. Importantly, the vendor is responsive and provides good service.

Very well designed with the exception of the length of the vent clamp. It needs to be about an half inch longer to clinch the vent louver on my tender AC vent. But it will work due to the rubber no slip adding in between the clamps.

reasonally priced. Works very well in the car. The magnets hold the phone securely. Very easy to install. One caution, if the heater levers are say round, the hook will not work. Most cars have short levers which work well. A. jeep has round levers, the hook will not work.

Wow what a great mount to add to my desert west phone holder i already had. I just remove the cradle and put the magnet monut on it and what an upgrade. I drive trucks and I drive all over the city a my phone never fell off or lost its oreintaion. I always buy the brand of phone mounts because this is true quality and they stand behind their product.

The product description emphasizes on "strong magnetic", but it is super weak. Won't work if the phone is in the case. I used other similar products before, much better compares to this one.
