I've only ever owned 2 chainsaws in my life, a Mac 1010 and this one. Not exactly a fair comparison, but honestly the dereal doesn't fall to short. Weight is about the same, the Mac is all metal. But really for a chainsaw in this cc range weight doesn't matter to much. For power The 50cc Mac kills, no contest. But the dereal with it's claimed 62cc (reality around 53cc if my math is right) has enough to get it done. Just don't plan on powering straight through. The dereal vibration isolation is great. Comfortable with enough feed back you know what you're cutting through. Starting is great too, never a problem cold and when warm I find myself shutting it off all the time because a casual pull on the spring assisted rope will fire it back up. Fit and finish is pretty good, everything goes together well and no sharp seams. Now the complaints. I am used to a saw you can run all day without breaking it down. The dereal is not that type of saw. I found the first day that if you don't pull the clutch cover (plastic) and clean it out of often things get really hot. The bar the oiler will also clog and burn your bar so I clean that every third tank. And that is ok because by then the chain will be so loose it is dangerous. I am also 90% sure the oiler adjustment is fake. The bar is made of hopes and dreams, already had to bend it back more than once. And keeping the chain sharp requires you touch it up it every tank of gas. I know that's good practice but being required to do it it's a different story. And last but not least the air filter is there for show only I have to swab The dust out of the carb after every use. Really though these are all wear items. Just for reference I'm about 20 tanks of gas in roughly 3 cords cut (gas hog) seasoned and green I peaked inside the cylinder things are looking good. It will not last 35 years like my old saw did. But I paid more than twice as much in 1995 money for a used Mac than I did for the dereal.

Iโm not an expert in chainsaws but this one impressed me, I tried to cut oak tree stump with stihl and husqvarna saw , they were 40 cc and cost 2-3 times more and didnโt do much, ordered this one and damn boy cut like butter till chain got dull but no big deal just sharpen it and cut again, easy to start , built quality is ok , donโt expect husqvarna quality for this price, overall Iโm happy , not sure how long it will last but I wonโt use it every day is just for household

There are several thing I will say up front. 1-I am using motor oil for the chain, many say its no issue and I agree. I am using 10w-30 motor oil. These will burn thru chain oil so make sure if the chain hangs up or any smoke is emanating from the base of the blade, stop and fill it with chain oil. 2-I only use RV / recreational fuel, i.e. no ethanol. Any gas with ethanol from gas station gums up and kills more carburetors than I can count. Use RV gas, add the proper amount of fuel sable to gas less than 6 months old and your 2 cycle or 4 cycle motors will start on the first pull each winter or spring. Make sure you top off tanks (90% or better) before they sit in the off season. Less air in the tank means less reaction with air. 3-If in doubt on the 2 cycle mix, lean towards more than less. I ran the first tank with a heavier amount of high performance 2 cycle oil for a break in, then went with standard mix ratio on fill up. This thing does not smoke a bit and runs like a champ. 4- make sure you adjust the chain properly or it burn out the clutch or you'll throw the chain. I use mine for a bit and then check for chain stretch. It is common in the start, so adjust as needed early on. Choke on, pull 2-3 times, choke off and it starts half way thru the first pull. I love this thing, for the price it has paid for itself after one use. If you take care of a chain saw at the start, it will be there when you need it.

We had a large tree go down in our front yard after a large windstorm and a crew wanted over $400 to cut it up and haul it away. I thought there must be a cheaper way to get the job done and came across this amazing deal. I already had one chainsaw - a Ryobi - but didn't think it could get through the thick trunk of the tree. This saw was easy to assemble when it arrived and easy to start. It made fast work of cutting through that tree and I was very impressed with the amount of power it had. We ended up keeping some of the wood for firewood and send the rest off with the trash. Saved $250 and have a great chainsaw now as well.

The saw cuts really well with plenty of power but feels clunky. The handles could use some refining and the shut off switch seems more like an after thought with a hole in the saw and a toggle switch sticking out.
