  • One of the better ones with excellent top fan cooling
Color: Black and White Size: 12000BTU
I have used several different brands of portable air conditioners, from small to large, and this portable air conditioning unit stands out as one of the better ones to me. At 12,000 BTU, you will notice a cooling difference, especially if you're using this in a smaller room. It will literally cool things down in much less time than a smaller unit. In addition, the fan that vents out cool air from the top is an excellent and much more efficient (in my opinion) way to cool a room in comparison to a unit with a front fan vent. This fan can circulate cold air as well and the hose attachment was super uncomplicated to setup and use. The noise level of this portable air conditioner is adequate. I have not used one which makes less noise than more. The remote is super uncomplicated to use and is very straight forward in one's hand. Temperature, fan speed, timer, and mode can all be accessed via the remote or via the on top display with digital temperature. Overall, I am very happy with the performance of this portable air conditioner and I plan to keep using it for years to come. ... show more

  • Great cooling, somewhat portable and easy setup
Color: Black and White Size: 12000BTU
It took me a couple tries to get the exhaust hose attached to the hose connector. I was so distressed because I thought I was gonna break the tube. However, after several attempts I was able to connect the two pieces together. I installed the window setup and put the product in my room. The hardest part of the setup was installing the window kit. I had to make some adjustments for it to fit my window. It worked like a charm! My room was super cool and I loved it. The timer function is one of my favorite things about it because I can set it to my liking. Also, it is super easy to move it from room to room because of the wheels. The only issue is that there has to be a window for the exhaust hose to placed in which limits where the product can be placed. Also, I'd have to adjust the window kit to a new window which would be a headache. Hence, I think this equipment is good in rooms that have windows. Overall, I'd order a next one because of the overall efficiency of the product. ... show more

  • A BIG AC Unit for a reasonable price!
Color: Black and White Size: 12000BTU
The DENBIG Portable AC UNIT is big on cold, features and style, just make sure you know what you are buying, see the end of my review. Before I go into more detail, a note, people READ the USERS MANUAL!!! I read so many reviews with complaints that were answered or avoided if the customer had read the USERS MANUAL. Take the time to make sure you are using and enjoying your DENBIG AC UNIT, or any product correctly by reading the user's manual. There is a lot to like here. I have a 24' x 32' workshop and boathouse that I work out of. It's insulated but it still gets OH, SO, HOT in there. But the DENBIG 12000 BTU AC Unit keeps it cool enough for me. Since that is 768 sq. ft., that's a steep asking price for a 450 - to 500 sq. ft. air conditioner, so, I have a 2nd portable unit of a different brand with 14000 BTU to use when I go out to work in my shop in the middle of the day when it's over a hundred degrees in there. TWO units knocks the heat right out the door in 30 to 45 minutes. 1. The NOISE level is a bit quieter than previous units we've owned but I did notice that in DENBIG's TECHNICAL DETAILS Chart it showed: SOUND LEVEL: 65 Decibels Then in a comparison chart AND in one of the pictures, it states that this DENBIG 12000 BTU Model is: NOISE LEVEL: less than 53 Decibels. Well, it can't be both, the first one is from the engineers, the second one is from the marketing people, So I would say it is probably better to go with the engineers. 2. It is also confusing in that in the banner headline it states that the DENBIG 12000 BTU AC Unit covers "UP TO 450 sq. ft.). A. BANNER HEADLINE - "...AIR CONDITIONER FOR UP TO 450 sq. ft..." B. PICTURE #4 - "Cooling Area 550 sq. ft." C. ABOUT THIS ITEM 1st Bullet Point - "...Delivers strong cooling for rooms up to 450 sq. ft." D. Second Wall to Wall Marketing Pic.'s Banner reads - "12000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner for 550 sq. ft." E. TECHNICAL DETAILS: COVERAGE - 400 to 500 sq. ft. A to D from Marketing, E. from Engineering, you decide! 3. DEHUMIDIFIER - A lot of folks seem to be shocked when they find water in the 60 or 70 pint Dehumidifier Reservoir. Again, there is a conflict with the information given. Is it 60 or is it 70 pints, but I'm getting used to the conflicts by now? You don't want this to overflow, so, set a timer for emptying it with ALEXA or another timing device. Just don't ignore it unless you want a wet floor. 4. Amazon has millions and millions of companies marketing their products on AMAZON. There are dozens and dozens of Portable Air Conditioner manufacturers on AMAZON - many with dozens of choices. It is almost impossible to tell whether all of the AC manufacturers/distributers are following the DEPARTMENT of ENERGY's mandated use of the SACC Standard (for measuring BTUs, (British Thermal Units) mandated by the DOE. The old ASHRAE standard is, ¨one that allows manufacturers to claim a HIGHER BTU number." IF YOU LOOK AT PICTURE # 4, You Will See 3 Very Small BOXES. In the top box it states "ASHRAE COOLING CAPACITY 12000 BTU". So those following the law are often beat out by those breaking the law by claiming an ASHRAE Standard (which is a higher BTU) than the correct SACC Standard which is typically lower. According to several reliable sources, a 12000 BTU ASHRAE rated Portable AC Unit is the equivalent of a single hose 7,000 to 8,500 BTU SACC rated Portable AC Unit. The US Department of Energy has required that all manufacturers and distributors use the SACC rating system since 2017 but many foreign companies are not complying and when it says 8,000 BTU or 10,000 BTU or 14,000 BTU on the BOX you have to be self-educated to know what you are reading. So beware, all portable air conditioning units are not labelled the same. The DENBIG Portable Air Conditioner does do what it says it will do; but it does it with 8,000 to 9,500 BTUs of SACC (Seasonally Adjusted Cooling Capacity) rated BTUs. Because of the ASHRAE Rating instead of the correct SACC Rating I gave this DENBIG 3 STARS. ... show more

  • Quality portable A/C unit at a great price
Color: Black and White Size: 12000BTU
Thus Air Conditioner has truly impressed me. Runs great, maintains temp in 3 large rooms of my house, and has ran flawlessly. Simple to install with included hardware. Runs fairly quiet for a portable unit. Love the oscillating fan vents for circulation. Definitely recommend this unit.

  • Wonderful portable option
Color: Black and White Size: 12000BTU
Had to call in back ups for the installation, but once I got it up and running, it worked very well. I used this in the hot garage this summer and it was so easy to use and portable and a very decent cool air flow. I would certainly recommend.

  • Fairly loud, and cold
Color: Black and White Size: 12000BTU
The unit is heavier than I expected, but all 4 wheels rotate freely. It has grab handles on the sides. There is a non removable bucket inside that fills quick. I had to cut the window insulator to length. The plastic exhaust tube is frustratingly hard to screw into the plastic ends. It kept folding or slipping out. I had no idea my AC would die the very day this arrived. I got it just in case. I had it running for a few days until the repair guy came out. I thought it wasn’t workin that well. The room was much warmer than normal. The hvac guy actually said it was doing great with heat being 95F with 85% rh. outside, this 1 ton unit keeping the inside 77F was really good in his opinion. The drain tube was a constant drip. The bucket filled in 1 hour, so that’s silly, have to roll it somewhere to empty the bucket. I set the unit on top of a 1 foot ledge near a window. Then drilled a hole in the plastic window insulator to feed the included drain tube out the same window. It comes with a remote, a drain tube, etc. I didn’t like that the only airflow direction was straight up. I feel the room would’ve cooled more if the fan could be angled forward some. The vent louvers on top is just open close to keep dust out I suppose. ... show more
