I tried 7 different brands of neck fan, some cheaper and most much more expensive. For me, this was the best one. A couple worked as well but were too narrow for my neck. A couple were colder but stopped after 90 minutes. Thus runs for ~4-5 hours switching between 1st speed and 2nd speed. I don’t think the highest speed gives much more relief but I suspect it will deplete the battery much faster. This one came out on top after comparing others for the strength in cooling and wearability. Other more expensive didn’t feel good on and was the strength of airflow coming out didn’t compare to this one. Size was little bigger than others but if you’re like me, I’ll take coolness all day long when under melting heat. This kept me cool waiting in line at the amusement park this past summer. It's not too loud and pretty comfortable. I did bring a bag to put it in during certain rides so it wouldn't fall off. It made waiting in a hot line bearable. I plan to use it at the beach too.

I received it today and was able to charge it fully before going into work this afternoon. I used it for about two hours on low speed and it stayed running the whole time. I like the shape as it sits well without just trying to fall off. I also like the blue color it is nice. I only used it on level 1 today and it was quiet while providing a nice breeze. On the downside it does not have a digital display or even lights to tell you how much charge is left. There is one light that is red when it is charging and green when it is full. The paperwork with it also said you need to be careful not to over charge it so just plugging it in overnight or otherwise taking your eye off of it while charging is probably not a good idea. It has a metal plate at the back of the neck simulating a cooling plate, but this model does not offer that feature unfortunately. The vents do not go all the way around In the display photo it looked like it would but it is purely decorative. Otherwise, it is light and worked well for me today. I will test it more tomorrow and would like to do a run time test to see if it will really last as long as is claimed. the shape helps it stay on while you move around. I saw others that were a straight u shape and I think they would tend to fall off. I got this for my husband who is always hot and sweating during the summer and he seems to like it ok. I tried it and it did try to grab a little hair into the fan. It is fine if your hair is really short. It is not super loud but loud enough next to the ears that it drowns out a certain amount of background noise. ... show more
