It's extremely easy to install. It literally just takes a couple minutes and you'll be on your way to shutting your car system down. Install wasn’t plug and play, but once wired in correctly it cuts the engine without any drama. Remote is small enough to keep on your keychain and the signal works from a good distance. With it armed, the car cranks but won’t start, so even if someone clones your fob or breaks the ignition they’re not going anywhere. For 2011-2023 Charger and 2015-2023 Challenger owners dealing with theft spikes, that peace of mind alone is worth it. Build quality is solid. The module feels sturdy and the wiring harness is labeled clearly, which helps if you’re comfortable with automotive wiring. I paired it with my existing alarm and there’s no interference. Once you get used to hitting the remote before you start the car it becomes second nature, like buckling your seatbelt. It’s completely silent when armed too, so thieves don’t get any clue there’s an extra layer until they try to drive off. Four stars because install is the main hurdle. If you’re not comfortable pulling panels and tapping into ignition wires, plan on paying a shop. Instructions are decent but assume you know basic 12V wiring. Also you have to remember to disarm it every time. I’ve had two mornings where I forgot and wasted a minute troubleshooting why it wouldn’t start. Vehicle thefts have been getting pretty bad in my area, and Chargers are always a huge target. I wanted an extra layer of security that bypassed the factory systems, so I got this intelligent kill switch to immobilize the engine. The main control module is compact enough that it was fairly easy to tuck high up under the dash out of sight. The remote feels sturdy on my keychain and responds instantly when I click it to disarm the system. If you are installing this yourself, I highly recommend taking your time to route the wiring along the factory harnesses and wrapping it in black tape so it stays totally hidden. Knowing the car simply will not start without the remote gives me incredible peace of mind. For the price, this is a top-tier security upgrade, and I would absolutely order it again for any future car I own.

I also like that setup information is available both on paper and through a QR code, giving you a couple of options to get started. I would definitely recommend this Anti-Theft deterrent to anyone I actually install this to my sister's car and she was really happy about it just take a look at the video to see how it worked I was doing a remote start and I did the remote start was initiated but didn't start up but once I press the defender FoB soon after it started right up I have it set up for her where it's automatic and manual I have it set to the automatic so it's just easy for her to get in and out the car with her kids and have it set to manual so she could do remote starts for those early mornings. Now I won't do a video of me installing the actual item to where it has to go but you know if you buy it then it will tell you especially when you see the video for your specified car. So I'm not going to give both Secrets away you just going to have to try yourself and see how it works but it works really good hands down five stars.
