Put this on my Charger because theft is getting ridiculous, and so far it does exactly what it's supposed to. Install isn't plug-and-play, but the wiring is labeled and it's not too bad if you know your way around 12V wiring. Once installed, the car will crank but won't start when the switch is armed. The remote is small, works from a good distance, and the whole thing is silent. I also have it working with my factory alarm without any issues. Only downside is remembering to disarm it. I've forgotten twice and spent a minute wondering why the car wouldn't start. Good little extra layer of security. Just be ready to do some wiring or pay somebody who knows what they're doing.

This remote-controlled immobilizer prevents the engine from starting without its key fob. It plugs into the engine bay fuse box and sits among the factory relays and fuses. I picked this up as another layer of protection for my vehicle, and I think that's the best way to look at it. No anti theft device is perfect on its own, but adding multiple deterrents makes your vehicle a much less attractive target. Installation was very simple. The relay is the same size as the OEM relay it replaced, so it fit perfectly without any modifications. Swapping it in only took a few minutes. Of course, the fact that it's easy to install also means it's easy to remove if you ever need to. From a security standpoint, a thief would first have to realize that a relay like this is preventing the vehicle from starting, then locate the correct relay, and in the case of my car, break a window, gain access to the hood release, and open the hood before they could even begin addressing it. Every one of those extra steps takes time, and time is something most thieves don't want to spend. The more obstacles you put in their way, the more likely they are to move on to an easier target. This isn't my only security measure. I also use a brightly colored steering wheel lock, which provides an obvious visual deterrent before anyone even attempts to enter the vehicle. I carry my key fob in a protective case to help prevent relay attacks or unauthorized cloning. Together, these measures create multiple layers of protection instead of relying on a single device. Where I appreciate this relay the most is when I'm traveling. Parking overnight in unfamiliar areas always leaves me wondering about vehicle security, and having this installed gives me additional peace of mind. Knowing there is another hidden obstacle in place helps me relax and sleep a little better when I'm away from home. The remote control worked flawlessly during my testing. It's compact enough to fit comfortably on a keychain or in a pocket, but it's also large enough that it shouldn't be easy to misplace. Overall, I'm very pleased with this relay. It fits exactly like the factory part, installs easily, operates reliably, and provides another valuable layer of theft deterrence. Combined with other security measures, I think it's a worthwhile investment and a good value for anyone looking to better protect their vehicle, especially if they frequently travel or park in unfamiliar locations.
