Replaced 8 big box store generic floor registers with these in bronze finish. They look much better and we’re pleased with the purchase. A few things to consider: The slide damper is more restrictive than the finned ones on our previous registers. At low fan speed it isn’t a problem, but when our system is really blowing it does cause some back pressure. They fit more loosely than the big box store registers and I had to use some sticky backed foam weatherstripping applied to the sides of the dampers to keep them from sliding around when one stepped on them. One register arrived with a slight abrasion on the finish. I still used it in a place under some furniture where it doesn’t show, but we’ll have to see how well the finish holds up to foot traffic. Finally, it was a good time to vacuum out the debris that had fallen into the duct work, and I installed some debris nets that are available on Amazon which went in neatly and which will prevent junk and dropped earrings and such from getting down into the ductwork. All in all we’re pleased with the product and think they improved the appearance of our floors. ... show more

I moved into a mobile home with really old, rusted grates. I found these grates and just loved the pattern. Followed measuring instructions to make sure I had the right size and they were very easy to install. And unlike a few of my old grates, they don't have a lever sticking up (which I had been stubbing my toes against). I replaced all 9 grates with these and I love them. One thing to be aware of, the brushed nickel isn't as silver looking as in the photos. They almost have a slightly gold tone, but very slight. It wasn't a problem for me, still look great on my silver/gray floor. ... show more

I purchased 4 floor grates in rubbed bronze for my new remodeled kitchen, the old ones were awful. The Decor brand grates are beautiful and low profile so you won't trip or stub your toe when walking near them. Beautiful & Easy Install: these grates are gorgeous. And no screws needed to hold them in place. I also bought the filter material to go with them and the piece that snaps on the back and holds the filter in place. So far so good!!!

I used old ceiling vents as a template to drill these for ceiling use. The steel is thick and the price beats the box stores. I changed all my ceiling vents to these is different sizes. I'm sure they would be good for floor, I just modified them to be a better look than standard ceiling options.

They look nice, same as Lowe’s and Menards but about 5 bucks cheaper, they work as they should only thing I don’t like I wish the bottom shut off part would hold onto the cover plate a little more snug
