I bought this because I don't have an ice maker in my refrigerator and was tired of buying ice. I've had it for about a week and so far so good. It makes plenty of ice for one person, though I don't know if it would be sufficient for a household of several people. You have to empty the ice basket into the freezer when it's full because the icemaker does not keep the ice frozen. It's just a minor inconvenience. I don't run it all the time. Slow at making ice. Company states that it should take 8-13 minutes to make ice and it takes at least 30 minutes to start. Nice looking machine and quiet while making it.
