Soups are easy. Dial the size of the slice with ease. I have the very expensive Mandolin which is difficult to clean and use. This one exceeds all my needs. Using a V slicer and specifically this brand is great because it had the proper amount of surface for slicing and feeding thru the area. A slicer does NOT operate this way. This one operates easily making every fruit or vegetable perfectly sliced. You can adjust the size easily right on the handle also. Love it . By the way, I also purchased a kitchenaid however the surface for the article being sliced isn't nearly as efficient as this one. ... show more
