Whhhhyyyyy did it take me so long to order one of these?! We had been hand cutting potatoes for fries when we wanted them and it took forever. This things takes a small fraction of that time. Good quality stainless parts that clean up easily and cut like butter. The suction cup is mediocre but that may very well be due to my tiled countertop. I LOVE this thing. It makes cutting French fries SO easy. You could easily cut a 10lb bag of potatoes in less then 10 minutes (after washing/inspection) and they come out perfect every time. It is surprising easy to use once assembled and takes very little force to cut the potatoes. It is perfect for making quick French fries for dinner or meal prepping purposes. The blades are VERY sharp so be careful to not have your fingers in the way when using this potato slicer. I haven't tried it with anything but russet potatoes yet but I could see this easily cutting sweet potatoes or even big carrots after you cut them in half to fit the machine. If you have giant, long potatoes you may need to cut them in half to fit them in but I only had to do that with two out of a 10lb bag. It will take up some space in the cabinet or wherever yo in decide to store it bc it is rather large but if you take the handle off it when storing that will help. ... show more

Not going to bother making a video. So many already. I held this in my cart for a couple of days trying to decide if it would be a good purchase. YES IT IS!!! I am doing everything I can to get prepared for the winter. That means freezing, canning and dehydrating. Just a busy time for me and I'm looking for shortcuts or easier ways of doing things. I am both freezing fries for quick air frying and cubed up for both home fries and dehydrated cubes for stews, soups and whatever. When you are freezing fries you need to first wash the potatoes, I don't peel them. Next run them through this amazing device to cut into fries. Drop them immediately into water to keep from getting brown. Drain them in the sink and put more water in a pot.(I use the same pot that I use when I immediately cut them). Once back in the pit with water bring them to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes max. Drain,run cold water over them and put on a kitchen or any decent absorbant towel to dry off and cool. Once dry put them on some parchment paper on a big baking sheet. Might need 2 sheets if you have a lot of potatoes. You want to keep them in a single layer if you can. Next just pop the pans in the freezer and freeze fries until solid. Put into freezer bags and put back into your freezer for when you want to bake, air fry or deepfry. The taste is far superior to store bought. No chemicals. I spray with olive or avocado oil right before I cook them. The same thing us done with the cubed potatoes if you want to freeze. Trick is to grab the whole sliced potato as it comes out of cutter keeping it whole. Put on a cutting board and slice the potatoes in the other direction of the French fry cut to make cubes. Put in water immediately as well. After you follow all the other steps as with the French fries you cook these in a pot of water for 3 minutes max. Put on trays and freeze them pack in bags. If you are dehydrating potatoes you go through all the above steps except cook the cubes for about 2 minutes then drain and dry out before putting in your dehydrator. Follow your dehydrator direction for temp and time. This cutter is a game changer. What used to take me hours is now minutes. *When you are cooking your spuds the time starts when the water is boiling. Good luck to y'all. I'm one happy girl!!! Highest recommendation! ... show more

I bought this as a gift for my husband since we make fries about once a week, and he usually cuts them all by hand. He was skeptical at first, but this fry cutter has more than earned its place in our kitchen! It turns a mountain of potatoes into perfect fries in just minutes — so much faster and easier than slicing by hand. We got the 1/2" blade and it's been perfect for our needs — we haven’t felt the need to try any other sizes. It’s surprisingly easy to use; the suction base holds really well, and even our kids love taking turns pressing the handle down. It’s handled every type of potato we've thrown at it: yellow, gold, red, russet, even sweet potatoes — all without issue. The fries come out evenly cut and crisp up beautifully in the oven or fryer because they're all the same size. There was one small hiccup early on — a bolt came loose — but we tightened it and haven’t had a problem since. Cleaning isn’t bad either; I use a long-bristled brush to get into the little crevices and it takes just a couple minutes. Super fast delivery! 🤩 I ordered this afternoon, and it arrived in just two hours. The quality is fantastic. I used raw white sweet potatoes without even needing to microwave them first, and it cut them into perfect fries. Tossed them with olive oil, paprika, a mixture of common spices, and a bit of jalapeño-lime salt for an extra kick. They went in the air fryer for 22 minutes flipping them halfway. Temp 380°.
