I had something similar decades ago. Might have been this brand, might have been another. I didn't remember. It was sturdy, but only lasted so long. I bought a cheap one (not the one I'm reviewing) to replace that several months ago. The blade broke, popped up, and nearly sliced off my finger. Don't get a cheap imitation. This one is sturdy and not poorly made. I've tested it with cucumbers, peppers, and potatoes, using both the slicer and dicer attachments. Perfect. Although I should have trimmed the peppers, since some smashed. The French fries are super easy. You gotta push the potato in a little before you can smash it down with the top. It cuts perfectly shaped fries. I'm glad I found a better replacement. This is reasonable in terms of price, especially considering how dangerous the cheap ones are. ... show more

So I saw this on instagram and after reading some reviews decided to give it a try. Wow! It works great. I’m able to make my salad in half the time it took before. It has the great storage for the blades and it’s very easy to use. After getting it and cleaning it of course, I had to try it out. Cucumber sliced with ease, pears and apples glide through it, celery and onions diced in a quarter of the time. I even used it on some strawberries and kiwi - worked great. It quickly shredded some mozzarella and Parmesan , sliced up some tomatoes and pepperoni. It’s easy to clean. The plastic is very sturdy too. The storage for the blades are great and easy to see whichever one you are looking for. Being that I spent hours prepping the items for the Mediterranean diet each week this is a huge time saver. If you are on the fence and you love salads - just get it. You will not be disappointed! ... show more
