  • Warm. Quiet. Looks great. Compact.
Color: Asphalt Gray Style: Convector Panel Heater
Very pleased. Thinking of buying another one. I have all tile & wood floors. No curtains. Home is very well insulated yet a couple of bedrooms don’t heat/cool efficiently because of ductwork layout. This works perfect. Quiet. Compact. Seek design means it can go close to a wall and out of the way. I figure out the buttons and how to operate without reading instructions. *note: I still recommend reading. The instructions* I am usually that one person who is cold and like the room toasty. This is perfect. Lightweight too. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Does a great job
Color: Asphalt Gray Style: Convector Panel Heater
We bought this to heat the finished part of our basement. In the dead of winter (below 20 degrees outside) it takes a few hours to heat the room to 68 degrees, but it will maintain a comfortable, constant temperature once it reaches the set temperature. This was a great solution for the space. Quiet, safe for the kids, and economical. ... show more

  • A truly awful design and bad product
Color: White Style: Convector Panel Heater
After a couple months, it refuses to turn on, so it's now garbage. I'm not that sad, because in my view this is one of the most atrociously bad user interface designs I've encountered in a long while. A heater is a fairly simple device. An on/off switch, a thermostatic switch or throttle control, a resistive heating element, a fan, and some safety cutoff mechanism to avoid a fire. For starters. an all-button interface is a poor fit for the application, especially for operating in low light conditions. In a product in this price class, ON/OFF should be a lighted switch that can be operated in the dark. Thermostatic control with an up/down button and a digital temperature display might have been OK if you could tell by feel which buttons are up and down but these terrible membrane buttons have no tactile feel -- it's difficult to be sure you're lined up with the button, and the buttons are all aligned in a column with equal spacing, so it's tough to know what button you're pushing without turning on room lights. By contrast, a thermostatic dial could be operated with almost no light. Even distinctly shaped and located buttons would have been OK. But this is not. Same with power switch. It's not lighted, and it's not even a switch, just another identical button. Easily the worst user interface design of anything I've purchased in the last 2 or 3 years. I'd opt for something else unless you enjoy overcomplex, poorly designed human interfaces. spaced absolutely equally apart is a terrible choice. Low lighting? It's going to be difficult to operate without turning on room lights. Worse, the buttons have no tactile Here are the major failures of the design. The buttons are all identical and provide neither tactile feedback nor are they particularly easy to identify in low light conditions. Not only is it difficult to be sure which button does what in a dark room, it's not even that easy to be sure your finger is located over the button. Worse, buttons are the wrong choice. On/off should be a switch (preferably lighted). Temperature control should be a dial, not vague up/down membrane keys. Fan speed can be whatever, but it should be identifiable without turning on room lights. This thing is over-complex, poorly engineered, and illustrates the point that more features mean less useability. It might well be a great heater but it broke and I hated using it and will replace it with something that is a heater rather than a row of vague buttons and "features". Needing to turn on room lights to operate it negates any "features" The best "feature" is good engineering that covers the basics well. More features are fine, but only if the basics are covered well first. In my view this product fails that minimum standard. I recommend you look elsewhere unless you really want a complex device to perform a simple task. ... show more

  • Stylish & Functional...A very good choice
Color: White Style: Convector Panel Heater
After some research, I chose this DeLonghi slim style heater for our 14' x 20' den. There is a 12' wide double sliding door unit that leads to the backyard, and it makes heating this room with our oil burner/baseboard heating system a bit of a challenge. I purchased this heater, not so much to reduce our heating oil bills, but to make this room, where we spend most of our time, more comfortable during the winter months (which are VERY cold here in NY). I've had this heater for only 2 days, and here are my preliminary observations: 1) After reading about "tempering" the heater before first use, I ran it on the highest setting outside for about 3 hours (I read that this helps to burn-off whatever lubricant the manufacturer uses to keep these from rusting while stored in their warehouse). People complain about a smell from these heaters, and this "tempering" seemed to do the trick. There was still a minor smell, but not a problem. You may want to run this heater outside or in a garage for more hours than I did. 2) The look and style of this heater is awesome (of course, that is very subjective). It's pretty large, but has a very thin footprint, so placement near/against a wall works very well, and makes it fairly unobtrusive. It does not get hot to the touch. 3) My first concern was that I only have one wall outlet located within reach of the 6' power cord. It's a 15-amp circuit, which would be ok for this heater if it's the only thing on the circuit. However, I have a few lights, and my home theater system (TV, a/v receiver, cable box, and powered subwoofer) on the same circuit. I plugged in the heater, pressed the power button (half-expecting to trip the circuit breaker), but it didn't trip. I progressed through the modes on the heater, and kept the highest heat setting (plus fan) on. Everything went well through yesterday and today...no power issues...and I continue to check the power cord and connection at the outlet, and they are not warm at all. I will be getting a price from an electrician to run a separate 20-amp line to the den, specifically for the heater, but for now, all seems good. 4) Now for the main thing...the heat. Everyone's home is different. Everyone's room application for this heater is different. Our den is not the best insulated room, and that "wall of glass" does not do a great job of keeping the cold out. That said, I placed this heater at one end of the room, set the thermostat on 82, and let it run on high. The heater, even with the fan blowing, took at least an hour to start to take the edge off the cold in the room, and after a couple of hours, the room was comfortable...not super-warm...comfortable (which is all we are looking for). That was last night when the outside temp was around 25 degrees, and today, with 15 degree weather, the same heater setting took a little longer, and didn't quite heat the room as well...but it definitely helped. From what I understand, these convector heaters are not designed to heat a space very quickly. If that's what you want, I suggest checking out quartz heaters. I hope this helps. Good luck. ... show more

  • Perfect for my living room
Color: White Style: Convector Panel Heater
Keeps the temperature in my living room at a perfect temperature! Pretty quiet and efficient. I like the slim design and the fact that it has a forced air option to spread the heat. I tried in my basement which is about 1500 square feet but didn’t touch the cold as much as I would have liked.
