Is a great engine as long as you know what your doing and maintain it the aluminum casting of the motor is the only downfall it’s weak especially the threads for everything so plan on stripping atleast one bolt sometime

The media could not be loaded. YD100 engine kit with 50mm piston and one-piece cylinder/head. The YD100 engine kit came with everything needed to install on a beach cruiser, started right up, sounds strong and runs smooth, see video. (I used a different muffler instead of the one included in the YD100 engine kit) Note to installer: 1) add a little 2-stroke oil into the cylinder and into the crankcase - the engine comes completely dry - avoid turning the engine with a dry cylinder wall and piston rings 2) open side covers, check magneto and drive gear tightness 3) grease drive and driven gears - they come with just a dab of grease, basically dry. (change gear grease at regular intervals after good initial lube) 4) center the magneto coil around the magnet so it does not grind the coil arms 5) lubricate clutch release shaft/cover/push bar/ball bearing 6) check head studs and all fasteners for tightness - do not overtighten ... show more

Not tight as hard enough and equipment keep apart fall few time. Had to repair as repeatedly without apart is fallen

The motor runs well for what it is, everything in the kit is all you need for a complete install. Make sure to take the time to clean stator and rotor before install as there is a light coat of oil on them and you need all the spark you can get. Also narrow the plug gap and it will run fine.
