I bought this to use in Summer heat while working outside. As a pale skin person, I burn easier and find sunscreen has to be reapplied too often during a long workday. A long sleeve shirt is good but can be hot. This shirt is lightweight, cool, breathable, and protects from sunburn. When I sweat, it dries quickly, and I don't feel weighed down like I do with cotton shirts. With the hoodie and a baseball cap I can keep "redneck" from happening. The sleeves are a little long for me but not so much that it's a problem. I'll be buying more of these.

I hate getting drenched in sunscreen to mow the yard midday (ProTip: don't mow wet grass and your mower will last much longer). This is a great way to protect my arms, back, and neck from the sun easily, as well as get some protection from bugs and poisonous plants I might encounter when trimming and handling brush. High visibility color is also a nice touch. Even while doing yard work in the 80F-90F this didn't make me feel overheated.

Love the shirt. Wish it had a chest pocket for sunglasses, etc. and a small piece of Velcro to keep the hood in place when you are not wearing it. When hot out and bend over working, the hood slides around to the front of my neck making me very hot.
