  • Great machine!
This thing started right out of the box. My only advice is to hold on tight or have two strong guys because this thing is powerful. Comes with three different size augers. Worked way better than the augers I bought locally. Very pleased.

  • Good for the money
We used at our land to dig holes for our solar mounts. We are in a very rocky area. Worked better than expected. Not the ones you rent at Home Depot, but great for the money.

  • Worth twice its price
This thing is a beast. Absolutely recommend this auger from this seller. Came way sooner than expected. Starts on choke in one or two pulls, take choke off & starts first pull every time. I have completely abused it as a tiller, auger and drill. Love the thumb throttle & control i have over it. I have never been so satisfied with a purchase before. 100% recommend. ... show more

  • Works well in soft ground
Easy to use and start, digs well in sandy or soft ground, not so well in hard ground

  • Easy to use but hard to pull start.
This auger is light and easy to use. But, to pull start is harsh, jerky and hard on my hands. Once it starts all is good. Best to use two people to hold on to it on rocky soil. I hit a large rock with a 10in bit and it got away from me and got a good bruise on my leg. I live in New England and the soil has glacial rocks. If you hit a softball size rock or larger you're in for jolt. I recommend practicing with the 4in bit first so you can get used to using it. Would I buy it again? YES. I gave it a 4-star due to the pull-starting being harsh. ... show more

  • I recommend purchasing elsewhere
I rarely ever take the time to leave a review but I want to help other people avoid what I am currently going through… I purchased this auger to drill a 1 maybe 2 holes to replace any broken fence posts. The machine worked for about half a hole. Then it stopped rotating. But hey I get it sometimes you get defective parts or even stuff breaks! No big deal. Well I issue the return to the sender, box everything up and print the label. Shortly after I received and email from the seller to give them more information on the condition of the machine. I submitted a brief description, they requested I submit photos, I stated to them that o could but the damage would be inside the clutch or gearbox. They still wanted photos of the machine. I inbox the machine and submit photos. The next day their “tech” department responded that I need to disassemble the machine and perform a clutch inspection. This requires short hex keys or stubby hex sockets. I don’t own the proper tools. I literally purchased the machine owned it in my possession for 4 days and it’s broke! At this point I want my money back from this seller and I will purchase another auger from a different seller. ... show more

  • Great machine for clean dry soil only.
If you are digging into just clean dry dirt this thing kicks butt. If you are near trees(roots), wet clumpy soil or clay, save your money and rent a machine. I got thru about 5 holes of 28 with this. As soon as I started hitting less than ideal soil, it wouldn't go thru it. When it gets caught, it will break/dislocate your wrists. ... show more
