The strap on my new Michael Kors purse was way too short— seriously, the zipper was touching my armpit. But I adored everything else about the purse so I wanted to fix the chain instead of just returning it. This one is just about identical to the original MK chain! There’s no way to tell the difference between them and there’s seriously no way to know it’s not the original chain unless you have the original right next to it to compare. The quality is great! It’s heavy, looks nice and shiny, and doesn’t kink up (lays completely flat now after being straightened out and attached). It feels the same as the chains on my Michael Kors and Kate Spade purses. I used some pliers (thanks dad) to open the clasps and replace the chain. And voila! I took off the little clips from the new chain so I can’t speak to their longevity, but from holding them, they felt solid and looked really nice as well. I can’t wait to start using this purse now that it’s actually practical to wear. Love love love! It’s beautiful and looks like it came like this. I don’t even know how long this chain really was, but I got the long one and cut it down to the exact length I needed. *in the comparison photos, the new chain is on the left and the original Michael Kors chain is on the right* Update: I just used the second half of the chain to turn my kate spade crossbody into a little shoulder purse. Perfect yet again. Looks great!

This chain is absolutely perfect. It exceeded my expectations. I bought a MK from a friend and it didn’t come with the longer strap. I couldn’t find anything to match it so I gave this a try and it is perfect! High quality. Perfect length!
