We stripped the old lights off our ten year old, 7' artificial, indoor xmas tree because half of the old bulbs did not work and at least a dozen sockets were missing bulbs. I never liked the fact that the old bulbs emitted quite a bit of heat and were not energy efficient along with being frail and finicky. It was a bit painstaking removing the old wire, a lot of which was wrapped tightly around the branches. (Sorry to even have to say this but obviously the lights were not plugged in during the cutting of the wires). The dazzle lights are an excellent replacement. They are small, lightweight and unobtrusive but give plenty of light without being overwhelming. The rule of thumb is 100 lights per vertical foot of tree so we bought two 300 led coils (each approx. 100 feet long) which seems more than adequate. The bulbs are spaced 3.94 inches apart (old ones were about 8" apart) and the lead in wire (no bulbs) is 16 1/2 feet. We happen to have an outlet close by and only needed 4-5' of lead wire but it was simple to coil the extra wire and easily hide it near the center of the tree. One of the other reviews mentioned entanglement of the light string, therefore I carefully fed the new bulbs out of the factory coil without any problems as I walked around the tree with the coil grasped in one hand. I'd say this would only be a problem if you have small hands. The light strings connect together quite simply and again the extra lead wire on second string is simple to hide. Installing the two strings took about 15 minutes. There is a button on the plug for the different functions which I would not define as a remote control, so no rating for that category. I have not played around with the different functions other than a quick test. I'm very happy with the purchase and our tree looks like new.

I pulled these lights out of the box and they are tiny, but, don't let that fool you. I used them for an outdoor display and I was happily surprised how bright and pretty they are, I really do like them. Reserving one star since I've only had them up a few days so can't say how they will hold up to rain and winter weather, really hope they will be okay. UPDATE....NOT HOLDING UP.....after two weeks and some rainy weather, two strands of these lights quit working. I'm sure the other two will follow....sellers, PLEASE do not label your Christmas lights as "outdoor" if they are not made for winter/rainy weather!!! These will be a pain to replace as the connections are not the standard type. Lost money and time which is very frustrating, and yes, I have had outdoor lights that hold up very well in rainy/winter weather but these are not it! I want a refund!!

Love it! They are so bright. I have a timer on them so they come on at 8PM every night. So fun for Halloween! Next time, I will buy the lights that you can change colors for each holiday. They also seem durable and good quality.

I'd recommend these lights over any other. The brightness is customizable through the app, it can be very dim or very bright. They're easy to install and don't tangle. They connect to the app very quickly and it's easy to have more than one set of lights. They're very long for the price. 10/10.

These type of LED lights are the modern way to go for Christmas lighting, and I really wanted to like them. The low-voltage circuitry is much safer and energy efficient than the old days. The look and brightness of the minimal bulbs is quite pleasant. The low-voltage wiring is thinner and more malleable when stringing the lights and visually blends in better with the tree. The 300 lights per string covers a lot of tree, and the option to chain even more strings together offers great adaptability to different lighting scenarios. There are also programmable blink, flash and glow patterns that can be changed from the inline controller or with the included remote. Seems like an appealing package. However, it seems these lights are designed with the assumption they would be left plugged in 24/7 and would never lose power. We found that if you make any changes to the blinking mode you will have to manually reconfigure the lights to restore that preferred mode EVERY TIME the lights lose power. No thanks! We control our tree lights with a light switch across the room that is connected to the outlet behind the tree, and the switch totally cuts the power to the outlet causing these lights to lose their setting EVERY TIME. I know we could probably leave the outlet powered on all the time to preserve the memory and just use the remote to turn the lights on/off, but I'm really not interested in trying and keep track of yet another remote around the house just for controlling the tree lights. At the very least, it seems the default mode could be something less seizure-inducing, like simple always-on (no blinking) with the option to liven it up with some blinking, if that fits your style. That would probably be a far more useful default for more people, and it would have made all the difference to us since we just wanted always-on lights with no blinking. For me, this unfortunate no-memory design made the lights unusable, and I returned them.
