Please Format SD Card firstly: Find the option of “Format” in dashcam and click “OK” button. - Please Remain plugged in: Please always keep the camera plugged into the car's cigarette lighter. The internal battery has a small capacity and is used for backup power only. - Screen Saver Function: To make the camera do not give any visual discomfort. The screen will go black but still recording after 1 minute by default. The flashing blue light means it is recording. If you want the screen on, just turn to menu and turn off "Screen Saver" function. -Not Wireless: The dash cam does not support an App to view playback. First off, I looked into alot of different dashcams and looked at alot of videos from them. The high end cameras have a great looking pictures and alot of bells and whistles. Yes they can capture a license plate in the best of conditions. But most of the time they just show what happened. Because of this I decided to get this dashcam and not pay for extra features that I really don't need. I am very pleased with what I got. The video quality is great and it shows what happened when driving. I purchased a 6 foot USB-C to Mini USB cable, (male to male), from Amazon to connect the camera to my tablet for viewing and downloading the videos. Two weeks after installing the camera, one of my Grandkids played with the power adapter and lost the fuse. I emailed DKK and asked for information about the fuse so I could order a couple of them. DKK responded that they would send me them. They sent me two complete power adapters. That was above and beyond what I was expecting. A week ago, when viewing some videos I found some of them were corrupt. Long story short, the camera stopped saving the videos properly. I contacted DKK and after sending a video to them, they are sending a new camera to me. They are doing a great with their customer support and service. I highly recommend this camera. NOTE: I use a tablet running the Android operating system to connect to the camera. Sometimes the "My Files app" dose not see all the video files. I found that going to the settings, (the three stacked dots on the upper right of the screen) and turning on then off the "Show Hidden System Files" selection, that makes all the videos show properly. I didn't know why, but it works. I purchased two dashcams. I mounted the main cameras in the front and rear windows. I then mounted the rear cameras on the frount left and right side windows. I now have videos from all sides of my car for a low price. Purchased a NFHK Mini USB 5pin Male to Female extension cable 150cm (4.92ft) from Amazon for the power to the rear camera. Using the Otium USB C Car Charger, 2 Sockets Cigarette Lighter Splitter from Amazon for the power adapters. The units work great. Update: Hard wired my camers doing away with the cigarette lighter adapters. Used kit from Amazon.     • Confidence to Capture the Moment
Around a certain week in April, it seemed like there was this strange occurence for drivers to drive as crazy and moronic as can be. Non-stop. That whole week in particular I kept having encounters that could've gotten me involved in a car accident due to the insane amount of reckless drivers. There was even one where I legitimately could've gotten killed due to a driver actively ignoring the honk of my horn when they were dangerously close to my vehicle. The one that really broke the camel's back for me was when I was at this three-way when heading to my local Walmart. And this one vehicle who I believe was driving a Jeep was in the opposite direction of the three-way. However, you could tell that this person was not only being idiotic, but wasn't paying attention at all to the lane that they were supposed to be in as they came down. For this driver almost caused a direct head-on collision with me, only for the driver to realize on their own and managed to get into the correct lane. Needless to say, this made me livid. And encouraged me to find and look up a dash cam to record a potential incident caused by a reckless and irresponsible driver. That's when this reasonably and fair priced dash cam came up as the first result in the search. My decision was sealed after the amount of positive reviews. The set-up was overall simple. Took me a bit to adjust and find an appropriate position for the rear cam view. But other than that, there was no issue having everything in place. The playback quality is pretty good and appears to be clear enough. As well as the amount of view the camera itself is able to capture. I love it so far, as it gives me reassured confidence to capture the moment should I get involved in an incident. The thing I look forward to the most should it come to that is seeing a potential mortified reaction when someone realizes I captured everything on camera. ... show more

    • Not the best, but does what it should for the price.
I will start with the cons; -The sound quality is pretty terrible when recording audio. You can hear it, but it is raspy and rattles. -Light sources tend to get pretty washed out. The white balance seems a little off, and things aren't super clear when the sun is pointing into the camera. -If it's snowy out, and everything is white, the motion detection won't detect my car is moving. It won't stay recording. Not a big deal just switch to manual on and off mode. Now the pros; -It's cheap is the best part. -It definitely takes good enough video to show what happened in event of an accident. -very easy to install. Plug it in, and it turns on. -pretty intuitive if you have a decent grasp of using a few multi-fuction buttons to control a bunch of things. I don't know if it came with instructions, but I didn't read any, and had the whole thing figured out in about 10 minutes. -Does everything I would expect a 50ish dollar dash cam to do. All-in-all, I would buy this dash cam again if I was strapped for cash and needed another one. I plan on getting more for my other vehicles, and think I will be buying a more expensive one to see if there are less issues with sound and image quality. This camera is fine though for an emergency. I have had to battle insurance companies in court, and even this cheap, not perfect dash cam, would have saved me a lot of time and lawyer fees if I had had it at the time. ... show more

    • Does exactly what it says it does
Camera was bought AFTER a no witness motor vehicle accident. Was wrecked into and had no witness. I was not at fault but having this could have made it absolutely clear that the other driver was at fault. Keep in mind that the screen is VERY small so being able to see what the camera sees is not feasible. Your not gonna be able to use this as a back up camera. Screen is WAY too small for that. So don't buy it thinking your gonna be able to drive down the road and look at the screen seeing how it's recording. The screen does turn off while recording, I assume to keep the driver from being distracted. This is not a continuous video recording camera. It "loop" records in increments of 1, 3 or 5 minutes. You can lock the recording manually or the camera is equipped with a shock sensor that locks when it detects if vehicle has been in accident. I would like the camera to lock and continue to record PAST the 5 minute mark because you may need it to record the after math of the accident. So far I like this purchase. There are others more expensive but this has been far the most affordable eye witness you can buy in case of accident. Camera also has motion detection to start recording as well. I like it, will buy another for my other car.... Update 2-24-23... I took out the micro SD card and put in my computer to view video the camera has recorded. I REALLY REALLY am pleased with this purchase now. The device comes with front and rear cameras. Both cameras record independently and you don't see a picture in picture type of video. Each camera records in full frame aspect ratio. Very clear picture and audio is audible. When opening files on micro SD it's divided into 2 folders. I founder for front camera video and another folder for rear video. As I mentioned earlier the video does loop record. However the micro SD card stores each 5 minute video and puts them in chronological order so you do in fact have continous recording but it's broken up in 5 minute video. This is again the perfect eye witness of an unfortunate accident or heck how many of us have experienced someone tailgating us or driving reckless? The video records what you see. I wish there was a way to record turn signal indicators, brake and speed. That would show an absolute complete picture of the driver's actions. Still a VERY good camera foe the price. ... show more

UPDATE: The screen turns black, and I would have to reset it over 5-10 times, sometimes more, to get the screen on and to stay that way. YES, I went to the settings and turned off the screen saver. It's such a nuisance that I would have to sit there to get this thing to show the screen. I have to reset this even while driving because it takes that long to get the screen going. It's so annoying having to reset more than 8x in a row. I've included the image quality of the recordings. IT IS NOT GREAT, especially the rear with the glare. There's a blur on the corners of the video recordings, and the video quality is very poor. AVOID this product and invest in a better one. It’s good for what I need but it would be improved. The wires are long enough to reach the rear window and tools are included to make installation easy. It supposedly records even after the car is turned off but I haven’t checked the sd card to see if that’s the case. It shuts down after a few seconds of the vehicle being turned off but reboots quickly when it is on. The screen size ok but the picture quality could be sharper. The camera capturing the license plates could be better. The rear view is in the screen so you see both front and rear camera views. If you don’t mind a camera that is not slim or thin and you need something basic, this dash camera will work. For the price point, it does what I need it to do. ... show more

    • Good quality, not my favorite overall
I bought this for my parents as they have the 70mai in their other car, which is not the best picture quality, so I wanted to try something new and with a rear included. The instructions are very unclear, especially with the camera functions, and suggest mounting the rear camera outside the car which I don’t recommend. We placed it on the rear window on the inside of the car and it works fine. There is no app involved, so Downloading the videos has to be done through a usb and laptop. Which is not a huge deal, but a minor inconvenience and I prefer the 70mai camera in that sense. Also, I enabled sound, and then caught a pretty stupid driver within the same day of buying the camera— but upon download, the sound was not there and I couldn’t even find the option to enable sound in the menu later. The menu functions are not very easy to use. Also, the dash cam randomly shuts off sometimes and stops recording while I am driving, causing me to have to turn it back on manually.
