Very very very good value for money And quite pretty blades Well worth the asking price, VG10 blades are tough, and these are no different For the price, competition tends to have 7Cr or 5Cr blades that do not hold an edge nearly as well as this Best value kitchen set

This is a comprehensive set at a nice price point. They claim to be damascus, but the steel is all the same color, so if it is true damascus, it's just twisted steel, not a hybrid of different types of steel. Any way, they look pretty good and I'm very happy with my other Brodark knives as well. Definitely a step up from the cheapies, even if they're not the tippy tops.

I am a knife guy and these kitchen knives peaked my interest since they advertised Damascus steel. The knives arrived in a very nice box, nice enough to use as a gift box. The knives are very sharp out of the box. They are very beautiful knives that have nice handles which fit my hand comfortably. There is some kind of clearcoat finish on the knives which makes them very shiny. The blades have a mirror finish which you could shave in. I know the advertisement boasts 67 layer Damascus, but I'm not sure. The damascus layering seems to be too detailed for 67 layers and it almost appears the layers were laser etched in. Just seems too consistent for damascus. In any case, I really like the knives, their looks, their comfort in my hand and the razor sharp edges.

I am on the fence with these, they are overall a really nice set with some slight critiques but the biggest one is the Damascus. You can feel a lip near the edge but there is a part near the bolster where the pattern just stops, it looks like it is laser etched and not really Damascus. The pattern that is there is also incredibly hard to see so if you are a fan of Damascus and thats the big reason you were liking this set you'd be better with a different one. They are a bit heavy, more than I expected for the size, they are weighted well but still kinda of heavy. They are sharp, the handles feel great and the mosaic pin looks great and is a really nice detail. They also come in a great gift box and would be great as a gift. Overall, they are a really nice set, really a little heavy but that would be the only complaint if it weren't for the pattern or lack there of.
