This was super easy to put together. We used it on our jeep while we were offloading. Never had an issue with the magnets trying to come off.

    • I'D GIVE THIS A SIXTH STAR IF POSSIBLE
Very strong magnets. When there is room, I slide the Mini off of whatever steel surface this mount is clinging to, as that is a lot easier than lifting it off. I use it on my side-by-side, and the Mini does not move, even when I drive very aggressively. Very pleased. I strongly recommend this mount.

    • Not a quick easy set up. Needs a specific mount.
Good luck finding a pipe adapter that fits with this. I didn't even know I needed an extra adapter for this, from the product description, I thought this was an easy buy and apply set up. I searched through Amazon for a pipe adapter, I couldn't find an adapter that had three screw holes. So i bought a pipe adapter that had two holes, and figured I can make that work. Well the holes didn't line up. This product in definitely not universal, it needs specific mounts, and unfortunately it does not give specific information on the specific mount needed. ... show more

Used the pole bracket that came with mini. Knocked a star off cuz you can’t use the pole adapter for a pole once you mount to this bracket. The Allen screw will be blocked by the short bolt and nut that come with this kit. Plan on ordering a new pole bracket for other applications unless you don’t mind taking the short bolt off when you plan on using a pole. Also knocked one star for poor instructions. It comes with 3 rubber washers that I guessed where they went. See pics. Also need to use a rubber spatula to pry off my Ram roof as I couldn’t pull it off with my hands, which is a good and bad thing if you aren’t prepared when it needs to be removed. ... show more

    • Very solid magnetic mount - assemble it correctly!
This is a SOLID mount adapter for any surface that magnets will attach to! The mount magnets are VERY strong, be sure you place it in the right spot or you may have some difficulty moving it. The mount is very easy to assemble, but read on. Remember to route the power cable through the center hole in the mount before attaching it to your mini, otherwise the cable gets squished a bit. Deducting a point for lack of instructions (apart from the image on the Amazon page). Assembly: It's simple, but do yourself a favor and assemble the mount to the Starlink pipe adapter with the screw heads at the base of the magnetic mount (pointing upwards), nuts w/washers on the pipe adapter. Otherwise the screws stick out the base and pose a scratch/dent situation on your hood/trunk/whatever. ... show more
