One time use only?! So disappointed. Was able to use it one time before the weld tore apart. Was using a 20 ton bottle jack and it felt like it wasn't a hard job.

I agree with other reviewers who talk about the welding quality of the lug on this unit. It doesn't seem strong enough. Mine hasn't broken yet, but I would definitely recommend stripping the paint, maybe removing the lug, beveling the edges, and re-welding it. This appears to be flat welded and on this heavy duty an application, that simply isn't enough to do the job, not with an acceptable factor of safety. Other than that, it is a great idea for what it is and how it works. I am someone who moves shipping containers professionally, and it is nice to be able to recommend this to my customers who want to level their containers after delivery. They make lifting the container much easier than using some other type of jack or renting a piece of equipment.

This is one big, heavy, chunk of solid metal. It's usage couldn't be simpler, just a single part that you lock onto the container and jack up. Quick, easy, functional. $30 is a bit spendy, but as this is in a way a safety device, you get what you pay for. That in mind this is a great value for the money. It certainly beats trying to use an old bit of wood or steel bar. Being only a single bit of solid metal, there were no missing parts, and no oil or anything else leaked on the package.

Easy to use shipping container jack point, makes a difficult job easier. Out of the box it seems sturdy, and it's easy to put in place on a shipping container; just put the lug in the hole and turn the whole unit 90' to lock it in. The unit is a good size, but I noticed some strain evident in the weld from the lug to the body the first time I used it and by strain, I mean some deformation. It did not come apart, but there is a small but noticeable bit of angle between the lug and the body that was not present before I started. So while it worked for the one lift I did, I do not know how many more times I can do so before the connection between the lug and the body deforms further or the weld fails entirely. It looks as though this is only welded on one side, and that there is no beveling done around the hole in the body that would allow for a much more thorough weld by allowing more weld penetration. So while this lug has all kinds of functionality with its design, the quality of build appears to be lacking.

I hadn't known that tools like this existed, so I'm sure glad I found this one. Seems well made and robust. I like the extra touch of the carrying handle. Great that it 'turns and locks' into place at the container's foot, so can't slip out in use. Grabbed my Big Red 6 ton and a piece of wood, and lifted the corner of the container easily. Perfect for leveling/re-leveling your container. Mine was packed full when I tried out this tool. Glad I have this handy tool around now.
