The brushless motor helps to provide up to 2.5x more run time to get the job done. With a 1-1/8-inch stroke length and a variable speed trigger delivering up to 2,900 strokes per minute, this DEWALT 20V MAX Reciprocating Saw is fast and efficient. DEWALT Reciprocating Saw also features a keyless, lever-action 4-position blade clamp for quick and easy blade changes in four directions for a variety of applications including flush cutting. A bright LED light is included to illuminate dark work areas.

I've never had a cordless recip saw until now and wish I would have gotten one sooner. This thing is impressive and has some really nice features. Its compact, not too heavy, and the ability to put the blade in facing any direction is really convenient. I would highly recommend to someone.

With the included 5 Ah battery (and charger) this really gets after the dead trees and limbs on my land. I wear out before the battery does. However, it is loud and does vibrate. Wish Dewalt would have used the anti-vibration technology that my corded Skil recip saw has. Really like the Dewalt blade change system. Fast & easy in addition to 4 way blade positioning. And I like the fact that Dewalt is using consistent battery specs in multiple tools. I hope all the Dewalt 20V tools work as well as this recip saw. ... show more

I used this to clear branches from a tree that toppled over from the weight of the snow this past season. It made quick work of the branches to cut up and make into manageable pieces. I found that it got stuck occasionally when cutting through sappy branches, but otherwise it worked well and without it, the job honestly would have been impossible trying to cut up the trees with a hacksaw. I also was able to use it one handed while on a ladder so it isn't very heavy, but you have to get used to the vibration it creates. Overall, a great tool and very useful. I bought this a portable alternative for my corded Dewalt reciprocating saw. After using it, I see there is so much power that I do not need my corded saw anymore. I also like the compact size. I run Dewalt everything and have not been left broke down. Working on heavy Yellow equipment for a living requires great tools. All my hand tools are Snap-On. All my cordless are Dewalt. Not that Milwaukee or Makita aren’t excellent tools. I’ve used them and they are great as well. I just started out buying Dewalt and they are Awesome. I use this tool to cut Huge hydraulic hoses that are so old and stiff you have to cut in chunks to get out of coarse I use it on metal and wood cutting as well but this one has a short stroke and is what I needed for these 3 wire braided hydraulic hoses in tight spots or not. Its shorter and lighter as well. I’ve gone through so many blades cutting metals and hose. This is a very tough tool. ... show more
