  • Only wheels that I could find that work with electric bicycles.
The positives: - Very Heavy Duty. The components are not light weight like the other Training wheels I have tried. - Work on my wife's electric bike. After trying many different training wheels, I found that these are the only ones that don't mount to the rear axle. With electric bikes, they have a wire coming out of the axle that don't allow you to mount other wheels. - Very well made. The parts are all quality. They even though of caps to cover the screw threads so you don't injure yourself. - Good instructions. It was fairly easy to put together and the instructions where easy to follow The negatives: - Price. These are EXPENSIVE when it comes to Training Wheels, but when others don't work and you want a quality product, these are it. - Width the training wheels stick out quite a bit. They are very stable, but does cause issues in tight spaces. ... show more

  • Super sturdy reliable
Single person install was a bit hassle in start like filling air , searching wrench size. But it worked out soon I kept going. OMG I can ride bike first time in life. Little difficulty In taking turns, I hope once my balance is ok then I will move balancing wheels a little further up. I am sure it will work. Very promising product, price is still on higher side. ... show more

  • Great product with a couple oddities
My kids are pretty tall and post-pandemic late bloomers, they’re too big for little kid bikes, and they don’t like balance bikes. I bought my son an REI REV CTY 24 and a Trek Precaliber 24 for my daughter. This kit worked on both bikes, although it was a little tight with the Trek. The kit was easy to install, is very adaptable, and came with all parts. One oddity was the two kits had slightly different gauge nuts and bolts. Also, both my standard bike pump and portable one were too big to get between the spokes to inflate the tires. I wound up using a soccer ball pump I happened to have laying around with a short hose that screwed on the valve. The kids are cruising now though. ... show more

  • Easy install
So easy to put on my bike, I'm so happy with them and they kept me upright, I haven't taken them off yet, I'm chicken, but when warmer weather is here "I'll graduate"

  • Extremely Disappointed - Poor Quality and Damaged Packaging
I am highly dissatisfied with my purchase of this bicycle training wheel. The product arrived in terrible condition – the packaging was completely torn and damaged, and the instruction manual was shattered into pieces, making it impossible to read. The product itself feels cheap and poorly made, which is not what I expected from this brand or seller. To make matters worse, the lack of a usable manual made installation unnecessarily difficult. For the price I paid, I expected much better quality and care in packaging. This experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend this ... show more

  • Works in principle but ....
I fitted these wheels on a 26 inch Specialized Expedition bicycle for a rider who needed help with balance when cycling at low speeds. The brackets supplied just fitted the frame (which was 1 inch wide at point of attachment) and cleared the 7 speed gear mechanism. They supported my weight when I rocked from side-to-side on a flat surface. Unfortunately on the road they caused problems because of the steep camber of the gutter/bike lane (particularly on US streets subject to flash floods which have much steeper camber than in Europe). The left-hand wheel made frequent contact with the ground and tended to jerk the rider to the right. The right-hand wheel however, was a couple of inches off the ground because of the camber, and when the bike lurked to the right, the angle of the bike was too steep and tended to throw the rider off unless they got their foot to the ground in time. This is a problem with any kind of trainer wheels and not specific to this model. They would work fine if riding is restricted to flat surfaces such as a car park or dedicated cycle path, but not on the open road where riders are frequently forced close to the gutter. ... show more

  • Great to build confidence, just need to take care setting them up
Bought this for my wife's bike. She use to ride a lot, but then developed a bad back, had surgery and we started riding a tandem (which is a lot of fun). After 20 years of not riding solo, we bought an e-bike for her. She had problems starting off, was lacking confidence, and would fall. I bought these as the training wheels would allow her to build her confidence and maybe start riding solo again. The first time out I set it up so the training wheels were almost touching the road on both sides. We started off in a fairly flat parking lot and after a few starts and stops she seemed to have gotten the hang of it. Then we went on the paved trail at the end of the parking lot. Once on it she had a hard time going in a straight line. There was a slight slope to the paved trail, such that if the bike was upright the training wheel on the high side of the trail was touching and forcing her to steer into it, and would lean the bike the wrong way. At one point the slope was to much and she had a hard time steering and fell over. Two days later we were back. I raised the wheels up two slots, and we went back to the parking lot. I rode it around myself first to make sure the training wheels did not touch when steering. Now when she turned in the parking lot, the wheels did not touch. On the bike path they did not touch on the sloped surface. Oddly enough, the second time out, each time she started and stopped the training wheels were not touching, so in reality they were not needed. On the whole 5 mile ride I do not think the wheels touched except when she was parked. However they do provide her a sense of security, so we will keep them until she is confident she does not need them anymore. So while it appears we do not need them, the money was well spent in giving her the confidence to getting back on the bike again. ... show more
