  • Exactly what I was looking for!
Style: RB1280X2A
I bought 1 of these and used it to replace the battery in my CyberPower unit. It was easy to do and now it works great once again. This saves a lot of money to just replace the batteries rather than buying a whole new unit. I used to use APC brand battery backup and AVR units, but then I realized they are pretty much a scam. With APC, you buy an expensive unit, it comes with the battery. Then 3 or 4 years down the road, the battery starts failing as you might expect. But with 2 different APC units I've had, I went on their site to buy a replacement battery, and it wasn't in stock. It appeared to be discontinued. Then I started looking up batteries for other APC units and realized that they seemingly only stocked batteries for the latest units. None of the ones for older units... you know, the ones where you would actually need a replacement. However, they offered a seemingly large discount on buying an entirely new battery backup unit, but only if you bought it off their site at their super-inflated regular price. With the discount on their regular price, it brought the price down to about what you expect off amazon or best buy or whatever. In other words, the discount was worthless. So at the end of all this, I concluded that the APC units were a scam that you wouldn't discover until many years down the road. That was about 11 years ago when I came to that final conclusion. Since then, I've stuck with CyberPower because they keep the same models of backup units in service for a very long time. The unit I bought 10 years ago (the one that takes THIS battery) is still sold on Amazon for example. And getting genuine replacement batteries for them is easy and not a ripoff. In conclusion, APC lost me as a customer 10+ years ago, and I'm not going back. It was a no-brainer to switch to any unit that didn't pull these shenanigans. So I started using CyberPower units and haven't ever regretted it. Maybe APC has changed their philosophy since then? But I'm not going to look into that matter because... who cares... ... show more

  • Perfect Fit
Style: RB1280X2A
I have a Cyberpower 1350 AVR that is about 10 years old, and the batteries gave out years ago so I decided to invest in a replacement. After looking at all the new ones. and their prices, I decided to look for the replacement batteries. I had a little difficulty finding the replacements on Amazon, so I went to Cyberpower's website and there was a link to Amazon for the exact replacement. The package came on time and the batteries were securely packaged. Installing them was a breeze since the 2 batteries were already packaged together and I only had to take out the old batteries, slide the new ones in and connect the 2 wires to the unit (red to red and black to black). I have my laptop computer, internet gateway, copy/scan/fax machine and a paper shred machine plugged in and it shows a run time of about 80 minutes before it would stop during a power outage. I am very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

  • Fit and perform like OEM because they are OEM
Style: RB1280X2A
My cyberpower UPS (CP1500AVRLCD ser.# starting CPA) stopped working due to suspected battery failure (over 5 years old). I considered a generic battery, and I have used them on other UPS' in the past, but decided to spend the extra on a quality OEM replacement. Per instructions, I removed the old battery, installed the replacement. It fit perfectly, no fiddling with the batteries to stick together, the replacement had the same wiring harness as the original and the replacement fit perfectly. The UPS is functional again. Very happy. FWIW, I checked and one of the old batteries reads 13.4 volts sitting, but any load and and it drops to 0 volts. The other battery is useable, but likely has reduced capacity. So if your Cyberpower UPS is not working, it is likely to be old batteries. The OEM replacement are easy to use, and known quality. I expect another 5 years from these. The replacement is easy. Remove one screw, slide the front panel down to open the front. Unplug the red and black wires (They are polarized, so you can't hook up backwards). SLide the old battery pack out, slide the new one in. reconnect the wires. Replace the front panel, install the screw. Voila', functioning UPS. ... show more

  • Costs more than DIY versions but saves you time
Style: RB1280X2A
When my cyberpower UPS gave the ghost, i had to get a replacement battery and fast. COVID 19 had made options fewer. I looked around and while there were plenty of stores selling less priced batteries (you need two of those SLA batteries) it seemed a lot more time to be spent sticking the two batteries together. So i bit the bullet and ordered this approved dual battery setup. It is heavy and probably accounts for most of the weight of the UPS. Removing the old battery took some effort as the clamps were tight. Once i removed the battery, it was just a matter of sliding the new set in and reconnecting. Charged it overnight and then tested and it works as of now. It comes with a 18 month warranty. The battery kit includes two batteries connected by some plastic. You could probably put two standard batteries together but I was in a bit of a rush and decided against it. Cons: 1. Unlike APC that provides a prepaid return label to recycle their batteries, cyberpower does not even for this cyberpower packaged replacement battery. So I will to have find a place to recycle the battery, particularly hard right now from the COVID19 crisis. 2. Pricy, probably 50% or more than buying the two individual batteries and about 70% of the cost of the entire UPS (though bought 4 years back). Another point: If your cyberpower UPS stops providing a backup when power is out, ignore the 100% battery message you may find. I initially thought there was something else wrong since the battery was being reported as 100% both on the UPS and on their cybperpower powerpanel personal software. However on running the battery "test" on the powerpanel software it would report 'UPS battery test failed' while the software was still reporting that the UPS was in good condition and the battery was fully charged!! I suspect many customers that state their device failed at 4-5 years had a battery failure that the device incorrectly did not report. ... show more

  • Works well, but harder to install than just bare batteries would have been
Style: RB1280X2A
Good battery replacement, but found I had to take the whole assembly apart for our CyberPower system anyway. Next time will try a non-OEM equivalent. That said, it revived our UPS and is working flawlessly now.

  • An absolute necessary investment
Style: RB1280X2A
This is a copy of a review I just left for its sister model. There is no difference between them other than the connector. I have two UPSs currently in operation. One 8 years old and one four years old, both running off of their original batteries. The older one finally started complaining about its battery not holding a charge, so I needed to get a new one. This UPS was running my cable modem and firewall, so critical to my network. The other UPS was on my main system and accessory equipment. I decided to give the 4-year old a load test and it failed. Ok, guess I'm getting two new batteries now. CyberPower's battery design is two 12V batteries in series instead of in parallel. Without a lot of work to reconfigure two generic batteries, I just went ahead and bought the appropriate CyberPower units. The two batteries were well packaged and protected from shipping damage. There were no outer boxes, just the original boxes with a UPS sticker slapped on them. No biggie. Installation was quite simple. A single screw to remove in order to slide the front panel off and disconnect the cabling. The older UPS has typical 1/4" spade connectors so it was a little work to disconnect the old battery and connect the new one. The 4-year old has a nonstandard connector making generic replacements more difficult, but making reconnection with approved components a breeze. I'm glad I replaced them when I did because last week the power went out without notice for a couple hours and I could shut my computer, my NAS and firewall down correctly with time to spare. Well worth the investment! ... show more

  • Easy replacement and I am counting on good life from these cells.
Style: RB1280X2A
Easy to replace the old battery, as these cells were already wired together. Some of the less expensive replacement batteries are not. I decided to spend more on these batteries since I experienced short life on some non-OEM computer batteries in the past. Well packed -- double boxed. The leads could be a tad bit longer. ... show more

  • Perfect Match for my CyberPower 1500AVR unit. 10 Minute Install Perfect Match for my CyberPower 1500AVR unit. 10 Minute Install
Style: RB1280X2A
I was debating buying a replacement for my CyberPower 1500AVR backup unit and started making comparisons when I came across these replacement battery that are offered by CyberPower! I checked the compatibility list and my 1500AVR was on it, so I ordered them. They arrived today and I decided to make a quick demonstration video of how to replace the batteries. These replacement batteries are a perfect match for the set I removed from my CyberPower Unit... even though my CyberPower 1500AVR has been replaced and discontinued by the company. The male and female connectors were perfectly matched for my unit. The CyberPower RB1280X2A replacements matched perfectly and the connectors were ready to go. I was pleased to find that the batteries were nearly 100% charged upon arrival and I am back in business without waiting a long time for them to charge-up. The original batteries lasted 6 years before not being able to sustain a meaningful backup charge. I was receiving an overload alarm from the backup unit, which is how I knew the batteries or unit had to be replaced. Five Stars for perfect compatibility, quality, and based on previous longevity. I recommend this replacement battery assembly without reservation. ... show more
