These Amazon Basics 9V alkaline batteries are a practical choice for smoke detectors, alarms, electronics, audio equipment, and other compatible devices. I’ve been really happy with these 9V batteries. They work well, last a good amount of time, and having an 8-pack on hand is convenient. I like being able to keep extras around instead of having to run out and buy them when I need one. Good quality for the price.

Reliable Power for Your Home Essentials!
Size: 8-Pack
The Amazon Basics 8-Pack 9V Alkaline Batteries are a practical, high-value choice for powering the critical devices in your home. These batteries are designed for long-term reliability, making them a "set it and forget it" solution for low-drain, high-importance electronics. What I liked: Exceptional Value: Getting an 8-pack of 9V batteries at this price point is a significant saving compared to name-brand four-packs found in local hardware stores. 5-Year Shelf Life: These batteries are built to hold their charge for up to five years while in storage. This makes them perfect for keeping in a utility drawer so you always have a fresh spare ready for an emergency. Wide Versatility: They are the standard power source for a huge variety of household items, from smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to guitar pedals, handheld GPS units, and professional audio equipment. Leak-Proof Design: The construction is robust, helping to prevent leaks that can ruin expensive electronics. This is a crucial feature for devices where batteries might sit for a year or more. Consistent Performance: They provide a reliable, steady power output, ensuring your smoke detectors don't start chirping prematurely and your electronics function at peak performance. Pro Tip: Experts recommend changing the batteries in your smoke detectors twice a year (usually during Daylight Saving Time changes). Having an 8-pack on hand ensures you can swap out every detector in the house at once. If you’re stocking up for home safety or your hobby gear, this 8-pack offers the best balance of quantity and quality. ... show more

THESE ARE TRUE LIFE SAVERS!!!
Size: 8-Pack
Let me explain why everyone must buy these batteries. It was a cold December day. We had Christmas break, so I was visiting my brother’s house in Charlotte. Sun was out for may be few hours in a day and weather was in mid 30s throughout most of the days. Heater was on but IT was still kind of cold. Basement was even colder. During one of those night, strange beeping sound woke me up around 2am. No matter how hard I try, I could not go back to sleep. I tried to locate the sound, and it sounded like it was coming from the basement. There was no way I was going to that basement alone at 3am since I did not want to deal with ghost. So I waited in my bed until around 8am next morning. Then I heard my brother and sister-in-law talking in the kitchen. So I went to kitchen and told them the entire story. My brave brother went to basement all by himself and found out that beeping sound was coming from one of the basement fire alarm. He did extensive investigation and concluded that existing 9V battery in fire alarm was dead. He took the battery out and that noise finally stopped. I was so thrilled that I will get some sleep now. But boi I was wrong. So the day went by. We have a projector in the basement, so we all decided to watch a movie that night. As soon as movie finished, we all started walking upstairs. I saw that battery and fire alarm on the table. MY BROTHER DID NOT REPLACE THE BATTERY, HE JUST TOOK IT OUT!! I discussed possible fire situation during the night with my brother, but he ignored me and went upstairs. I went to my room. This was another cold and quite night except I could hear my brother snoring. That beeping noise was gone.. But I could not stop thinking that we have a fire alarm that is not connected. I could not get that thought out of my mind. I researched online about not having active fire alarm and found some terrible stories. Now I could not sleep second night in the row. My mind was really going crazy and didn’t know what to do at the moment. Around 3am this night, I gathered my courage, took spatula for my safety and went to basement to get that fire alarm. It was still sitting on the table staring at me. I quickly picked it up and ran upstairs to my room. I found the model number behind the fire alarm and started doing my own investigation. I downloaded product manual form manufacture’s website. I went through that 2 page manual and concluded that I need new 9V battery to get this fire alarm start working without beeping sound. There was no place to go at 3am to get 9V battery. So I went on Amazon and did my search for ‘9V battery’. This was the first product that came in my search result. THERE WAS AN OPTION FOR SAME DAY DELIVERY FOR THIS BATTERY!! Without any thoughts, I placed an order for same day delivery. I still could not sleep that night. Only thing I can now think of is when would this new batteries arrive.. I waited and waited. Hours went by. Around 4:30pm I heard the door bell. I was sleep deprived for 2 nights, but somehow I felt energetic. Delivery guy had left the Amazon package. Now I could not wait to install new battery in our fire alarm. I opened the box, and it was very easy to open the package inside to access these batteries. Only took me less than 2 minutes to install the battery and re-install fire alarm. Now I knew that our house was safe and in case of fire, I was safe as well. That night, I went to my room early around 8pm after dinner. That night I slept like I never slept before. I can’t even imagine life without these battery and active fire alarms. This literally saved me from sleep deprivation and saved my life!! I recommend these batteries to anyone who is looking for solid 9V batteries. ... show more

Why pay double? Reliable power for all my electronics at a fraction of the cost
Size: 4-Pack
I used to only buy the "big name" brands for my household batteries, especially for critical things like smoke detectors. However, after trying this Amazon Basics 4-Pack of 9V Alkaline Batteries, I'm officially a convert. They offer the exact same performance without the "brand name" markup. 1. High Performance Right Out of the Box I tested each of these with a multimeter as soon as they arrived, and they all registered at a consistent 9.5V to 9.6V. They aren't sitting on a shelf losing power; they arrive fresh and ready to go. I’ve used them in everything from high-drain RC toys to my digital multimeter and acoustic-electric guitar, and they haven't skipped a beat. 2. The 5-Year Shelf Life is Real The 5-year leak-free shelf life is a huge selling point for me. I like to keep a few extras in the "junk drawer" for when that dreaded low-battery chirp happens at 2:00 AM. Knowing these will still be at full strength two or three years from now gives me total peace of mind. It makes stocking up for emergencies or power outages much more practical. 3. Perfect for Smoke & CO Detectors If you have multiple smoke or carbon monoxide detectors in your house, the cost of replacing batteries every year adds up fast. These fit perfectly in the battery compartments—no struggling with tight fits or weird dimensions. They provide steady, reliable power that lasts just as long as the expensive copper-top alternatives I used to buy. 4. Frustration-Free Packaging I actually appreciate the Certified Frustration-Free Packaging. There’s no sharp plastic clamshell to hack through with scissors. The box is easy to open, and it doubles as a neat little storage container for the remaining batteries so they don't roll around and short out against each other. Pros: Incredible Value: You get four batteries for the price of two from most other brands. Reliable Longevity: Lasts just as long as premium brands in low-to-mid drain devices. Leak-Proof Design: 5-year shelf life ensures they are ready when you need them. Standard Fit: Fits perfectly in smoke detectors, garage door openers, and guitar pedals. Cons: These are single-use alkaline batteries, so they aren't rechargeable. Not intended for extremely high-drain industrial tools (stick to lithium for those). Final Verdict: There is no reason to spend twice as much on "premium" brands for everyday household items. These Amazon Basics 9V batteries are reliable, long-lasting, and arguably the best value on the market. I’ll be buying these exclusively from now on ... show more
