I was given a Cutluxe utility knife as a Christmas present and liked the quality so much that I wanted to buy the set. The blades themselves seem great they are sharp and seem like they hold an edge well. The reason for only 4 stars is two fold. First, the blade tangs do not seem to be ground flat with the handle on this set as well as on the knife I was given for Christmas. This is not terrible but it is noticeable in the hand. The biggest reason for the loss of a star is the knife block. The pictures seem to show the knife slots lined with metal but there are not. The biggest issue is that the rubber feet on the bottom of the knife block are held on by narrow Uplostery staples and on my block one of the staples were not seated well and scratched my Corian countertop.

Excellent quality and cutting. Good size range to cover all kitchen cutting duties. The handles are really solid but poorly formed around the forward grip - around the inner thumb/forefinger. The profile swells quickly from the blade stock to the handle, a gentler taper would have been more comfortable. Recommended
