The beads were too big to pass through, so I used an exacto knife to make the slots bigger. That took a few minutes for each weight. But then the weights weren't heavy enough and the beads would get hung up when you pulled on the bead string. So I filled the weight with coins and small (metal) nuts - and that solved the problem. Now everything works just fine. But as I noted, it took a lot of extra work on my part to make it work. ... show more

The device was easy to install and (after modification) works as intended. However, it could stand to use some additional weight (thus the reason for the modification mentioned earlier). Because of the lack of weight, the device has a tendency to rise and fall with the cord - which defeats the purpose of the device in the first place. To remedy. I simply added 2 nuts to the interior in order to give it additional weight and make it functional (See photos) Photo 4 - As is, the device is not heavy and will ”climb” up the cord; Photo 2 - Adding 2 standard sized nuts will provide adequate additional weight; Photo 3 - Nuts inserted into device; Photo 1 - Added weight keeps the cord taught and eliminates “climb”. ... show more
