Purchased this kit for a youth hunter for his first saddle and fall arrest for climbing treestands. To use as a saddle you need to purchase another safety rope to use as either a lineman’s belt or your tree tether. The one rope in the kit can be used as one or the other. A drop pouch should also be purchased if you decide to use this as a saddle only setup. I am happy with the quality of build and the way it fits. The leg straps were very long and needed to be trimmed. The shoulder harness is a trade off for added safety vs weight. After a year or two we may upgrade to a saddle only setup. Customer service by the manufacturer has been great answering questions by email. I rated it 5 stars because I couldn’t give it 4.5 It’s not a perfect kit, I’d like to see an additional safety rope and pouch in the kit. I think it’s a great beginner saddle that users may outgrow if they seek a dedicated ultralight mobile saddle setup.

Comfortable for long sits. Budget friendly option to get into saddle hunting. I have used this twice and have had no issues. Easy to use, I feel safe in the tree, weighs about nothing. Although the platform is a little heavy but is very stable in the tree. Satisfied purchase.

This is a lengthy review. I honestly could not believe looking at the prices of every other saddle, the price and quality of this one I will start this by saying I have only been in the field about five or six times I hunt with a single stick. Honestly, I’ve been thinking about just using the platform as my one stick, but it’s sort of bulky with the cam buckle system and makes it hard to use quickly. As far as the harness goes. The only real complaint I have is in the thighs. If you experience some hip pain, try to use the loops above the waist. I believe that would be called the lineman‘s belt. I just use that as my bridge because I like the forward hoisted harness more than at the hits. I’m also a smaller guy as far as height wise goes, but it adjusts perfectly the back portion sort of like the backpack part provides plenty of back support. I can hang upside down from my rope if I wanted to, and it won’t hurt me, and I feel very secure in this system, I did inspect a double stitching, and for reference, I use a climbing harness every day at work for trailers and this harness has stitching that seems more robust than the one I used for Work overall, I’m highly impressed with this but time will tell on how it holds up

Its a nice overall kit. I myself returned it. To me it is just too many straps and added extras. I just want a saddle set up. The added straps and harness are more than i need

Sold for life. Opening day this year turned wild when my climbing stick broke, leaving me dangling from a tree—alone in the woods. Thankfully, this saddle (and using the right safety precautions) saved me from what could’ve been a gnarly start to the season. A lot of my buddies who saddle hunt complain about theirs pinching their sides, but this one? Hands down the most comfortable saddle I’ve ever used—even while dangling. 😂 After that incident, I picked up their sticks too and love those just as much! Their gear is affordable, reliable, and honestly the way to go.
