I've purchased several Kalkal products over the last couple of years and I'm really impressed with the quality of the items I've received. This set it no different. I combined this platform with some 32" climbing sticks and I now have a complete hunting setup with saddle, sticks, platform and rope equipment. I like that it includes a safety tether which is something that is lacking in a lot of setups. The saddle is very comfortable and adjustable and will fit most good sized men. I haven't had the chance to actually get into the woods with this setup yet, but from all indications this saddle will be my main setup with a couple of other setups as a back up. There aren't any pouches included with this, but there are loops on both sides of the saddle to hang a couple of dump pouches. The suspenders/harness is light enough that you can get a backpack on over the harness so that once you get in the tree you can hang your backpack and not have to hoist it up after the fact. Great setup for the money and as with all the Kalkal equipment I've purchased it's a quality set that I trust to keep me in the tree.

This is a pretty nice saddle hunting kit. It comes with everything but climbing sticks. The saddle itself seems to be well made. It's considerably larger than other saddles I have, and there's a lot going on with the seat, backing, and shoulder harness. My biggest gripe about the saddle is that it has hunter's orange accents and bridge rope. I'd prefer it to not have any orange for bow hunting, but not a deal-breaker either. The platform seems to be really nice. It's larger than others I've had, which is a good thing, but it's nice and light for carrying. The various straps are all of decent quality, and allow you to climb, hook up the platform, and lock yourself into the tree. All-in-all, this is a nice saddle hunting kit. It's well made with nice materials. I'm only going 4 stars as the saddle has a lot going on, as well as the blaze orange accents.
