I like the overall look and maybe because I’m used to cooking with gas this seems to take forever to heat up. I don’t like that you can’t visibly see if a burner is on. The old coil ones you could see they were red when in use. These are just black round discs that sort of look like rubber. Idk if other ( new versions) hot plates have burners that change color when in use or not but I would recommend the manufacturer include this feature in its design. This was purchased to get me through a kitchen remodel. The burners heat fast and are as efficient in heating and temp control as a full sized range. There is room enough to handle 2 pots of normal size used in cooking.

I purchased this because I live in a trailer and I was looking for a way to cook more meals without taking the entire kitchen apart. It works really well, but the entire unit gets VERY hot! So it can't be moved while or right after one uses it. Since storage is a premium in my little trailer, it makes it difficult to "store" right after use. This product has worked well for me in my small space. It is not too heavy, is easy to clean, and cooks evenly. I would have given another star if both burners functioned equally but the smaller burner does not cook as hot as the larger. Great for warming or something along those lines but not great to say prepare pasta while making sauce on the larger burner.
