On this one I agree with some other reviews in that it takes a bit to set up, but the options you have to customize the whole day and night are great. I absolutely love this aquarium light and use different versions on a few tanks. My 180 gallon Oscar tank looks great with this light in place. It's bright, has some great functions, and is solid. Even stretch across the full 6 feet of tank it does not bend or bow, and it's very well made. I do wish it had a little bit more brightness when I want it, but for 99% of the time it's more than enough. I love this product. It fits inside the upper canopy and lights the aquarium from top to bottom. My tank is a 210 gallon so it’s 72.5 inches across. If it didn’t have the canopy on it would still fit because I had the legs resting on the tank rim prior to replacing the wooden canopy. It’s beautiful and the dynamic lighting settings are so fun. Lights are beautiful, had a slight issue with the timer but customer service immediately sent a replacement. Only issue is with remote timer options. You can run a or b. Timer a allows you to set from 6 preset programs to run throughout the day which would have been perfect except there is no regular daylight option?? Timer A allow you to run a standard 24 hour mode, sunset, daylight, sunset, moonlight. I didn’t want my fish only tank to run full on all day so I adjusted the daylight setting which means either I have to manually increase all the colors to turn it up when I am home or redefine moonlight to full daylight mode so I could have one button switch to full brightness. So now if I run timer b it goes from sunset into my modified moonlight mode which is no good. No way to turn the moonlight off from timer b and it doesn’t list how long it last before it shuts down. Timer A would have been perfect if it had a daylight mode option so I could change things up for the fish throughout the day. So I have been using timer b then switching to my modified moonlight mode when I get home, switch to my reduced daylight then starry night then off. I switch it on in the morning before work which unfortunately goes into starry night for a second then resume the timer A program which shuts the light down until my one time. ... show more

It's a decent light, but not as bright as i thought they'd be... You can buy 2 cheaper lights for the price of just this one. The options to change colors and times of day are a great option. And the extra USB port for more lighting is a good idea. Still debating if I want to add sound to this. The ir remote is a pain.. I can't be 6 ft away to turn on the lights. It has to be directly pointed to it to turn on. Overall, if you have money... sure, buy two and have them on their current bracket system, they look great physically. I cannot get the on-off timer to work, I have tried everything, followed the instructions, watched YouTube videos nothing works. Timer will not work. I called customer service, no one answers you have to leave a message and wait till they call you back. update: customer service. called me back, had me try some things to see if the timer would work. Nothing worked and Brandon agreed to send me a new timer. raised to five stars do to excellent customer service.
